Love Tatiana's lyrics. She may procrastinate about writing them but when she gets down to writing them she kills it.

Yup we're still waiting for that album they'd planned to release late last year. ;) I suspect she's writing about stuff that hurts though. I don't know if the album will be about the war, though the guys started compsing the music while trapped in Kyiv under siege in the early months of the war before they got permission to tour as cultural ambassadors. I suspect that they're at least touching on that and it's taking longer cuz that shit's complicated, especially for them having been russophiles. Can't rush greatness though, so I'll wait.

Fantastic analysis of a musically sophisticated band that has so many influences. These musicians are on the top of their game.

Top notch reaction! You got an appropriate interpretation of the lyrics, and you nail it down that it is a Jazz song the first minute. This is the piece Jinjer got me on the hook.

As a long-time Jinjer fan (since Cloud Factory), I've probably seen approximately infinity (well, maybe less) reactions to this song. By far, you guys spent the most time reflecting on, interpreting, and expounding upon the implications of Tati's lyrics. I was immersed in your analysis, which in many ways, I think was pretty spot-on. I very much enjoyed this one from you! So glad to have finally subscribed after a couple years of watching.

From what Tati has said about her own tendency to obsess over negative thoughts and feelings I'm confident it's psychological. It's interesting that she says its a man though. I view it as being meant figuratively but still its an interesting lyrical choice.

tbf, a man losing his mind vs a woman losing her mind are different achetypes that lend themselves to different imagery. an insightful choice.

Once more I enjoyed listening to your analysis more than listening to the song 😅 That was just not for me.

Of course! This kind of music is not for everyone's ears. We love it, though 🙂 We're just glad you have the open mind to listen and to look into what is behind the sound (lyrics, etc.). Keeping an open mind is important. 😉 As always, thank you for taking the time to view and engage. We appreciate the support!
