People make fun of Hman because he acts as these guys' subject expert a lot of the time, and makes definitive statements on things that he clearly doesn't know much about. The video may have been used as a proof of concept, but it wasn't made with the intent to promote or relate to arcane in any way. Hman thought it did, because the styles are similar. That was enough for him to definitively say, "Yeah, this was made for arcane."

The Get Jinxed music video was the first thing Fortiche did for Riot, and it predates Arcane by...many years, it was her character introduction to the game in 2013.

It was also the first music video for a new character being introduced. We'd had Lee Sin's april fools introduction video, but that was just another funny version of a champion breakdown video. We had NEVER had a music video for one character before, it was huge.

6:16 in the lore, jinx and vi were hinted to be sisters, but that fact has never been confirmed until arcane, when through that, everyone collectively decided that they were sisters now, even though it's still not confirmed in the lore. however, and correct me if I'm wrong, arcane did take some bits of pieces from the lore crumbs in league. for example, the details of THAT scene in ep.3 is taken from one of the stories of one of the champions in league (not saying the name, since it may be a s2 spoiler). it just shows that some, but not all details of arcane (jayce and viktor are different characters in league) may be reflective of the actual lore, but until it is confirmed in league, it's still just details from arcane. edit: the main difference with vi and jinx is that vi doesn't know jinx is her sister. the point still is that arcane and league lore both are different, but do share some details which people use to fill in the gaps. also, I would love if the gameplay guide section of these videos becomes a norm. i just love seeing ruff be absolutely confused while the rest try to tell him things.

Every champion since Lulu was released in Season 2 (2012) have some kind of music associated with them as they all have a theme that came with their release login screens. There's not that many music videos directly related to individual characters though. Jinx was the first to get a music video, although the song in this video was already two years old prior to the MV release. That's because "Get Jinxed" is also Jinx's login theme who was released two years prior to the video. Jinx wasn't even the first to be a fully vocalized song, as Vi's character release login is also a vocal track. Jinx's login screen was a mockery of Vi's in many ways. League has a ton of great character themes and other login music. I wish I could find a complete playlist, but even Riots official playlist is missing at least Lulu's theme, although the video is on their channel. Its about 10 hours of worth of music just in champion themes and logins.

22:40 Jinx is known as a hyper-carry, not all ADCarries are as strong as her in the late game. Some are oriented to early-mid game, like Lucian, who basically functions as a mobile ranged assassin through mid-game, but falls off late. So yes, she is specially strong if she is not shut down early. Not the only one, we have some other few characters that scale even harder, but they have even worse drawbacks. Rule of thumb is "weak early, strong late" and vice-versa.

Definitely recommend watching the 2018,2019 and the 2022 Live Worlds Open Ceremonies for league, you can skip the 2020 one as that was a failure due to covid but the other three I said, are setting the stage for what Concerts can be now

As Ruff does not know anything about the gameplay, maybe it would be more immersive and interesting for you to listen to voice lines and character interactions as part of the Lore reaction, instead of the gameplay, which does not add much to the lore aspect of a champion

Story in Arcane and Lore are closer than you think. Necrit video was old and riot had a habbit to change the lore a lot to make it better. Necrit also covered/theorized about the new MMO game Riot is making in League world. I highly recommend you watch it because it covers almost all modern lore(not in detail). Its basicaly one video to cover all Lore, and then if you want you can check out region/champion/story that you find interresting in detail. Please and thank you.♥♥

8:59 I don't think the changes they made for arcane were big, or the ones that were big were not bad at all (like Viktor and Jayce being friends instead of Rivals). Also, even with the time skip on episode 3 Arcane is still narrating past events. Jinx is still a teenager, Ekko is going to develop his special device and Vi is going to join the enforcers. There are things that will happen no matter what, but the way they happen sometimes is different from canon League. And like in Canon League, Vi was not an enforcer from the beginning And yeah, Jinx and Vi being sisters had been theorized and teased for a long time until Arcane League has a lot of comics in the universe webpage btw. But the stories Necrit was reading were just short stories with no art. Jinx has a comic with a yordle called Ziggs.

As I understand it, Arcane is set years before the lore of Jinx: Jinx just stared becoming irreversibly insane, Vi hasn't joined the enforcers yet, and Caitlyn hasn't been promoted as sheriff yet. So, technically, both the lore in Arcane and in-game can be connected and considered canon.

Jinx and Vi are also sisters in normal league lore. She mentions having a sister in one of her voicelines and shes obsessed with Vi. Its just that the backstory is unknown. You wanna know which characters lore got ruined by Arcane tho? Look at Jayce. Hes the worst example. Another one would be Ekko. Necrit was firmly in the "they are not sisters" camp before Arcane came out and its just one example of him getting things wrong. There are a lot of official Marvel comics, official videos, official stories. No need to use a third party.

"There are four lanes" That angered me more than it should have for someone who hasn't played on rift in years. I think its easier to say three lanes and the areas between those is called the jungle. I hope the others are taught well that isn't overwhelming. MOBAs in general have a learning cliff rather than curve. There is too much to take in a single session. Narrowing down to a role is a start, but a better one is helping them learn through a character they like and/or suits their playstyle. Too much to add from my old days experiences of League, but I'll add my first champion was Anivia.

I do think the gameplay video was a bit of a miss for the fellas who are unfamiliar with the game. I'd suggest reacting to voice lines, that will give you more ideas of the lore, and how characters may interact in game. My favorite set of voice lines are for FiddleSticks. I highly recommend reacting to those, paired with his theme. Great stuff.

I really do prefer the lore for jinx in game than the lore they made for arcane. Cause 1 I ship JinxVi and now I cant cause arcane made that a problem 😂. And 2, happy crazy jinx in my mind is way better than traumatized psychopath jinx. I remember a sentence that used to describe her perfectly, "Jinx would not shoot at a homeless guy in an alley, but if there were fireworks she'd shoot them without thinking on who could get hurt". So basically she used to think only in what would be fun and do it but not think hurting things is fun, as now... Well... She shot a bird for nothing in arcane :'). BY THE WAY, i'd absolutely LOVE a video of them learning to play wild rift, as by what i've seen of them i think would be easier for them to get. Less characters, less items and easier gameplay couse touchscreen.

dudes hman is wrong more than right. there are only 3 lanes not 4. jungle is not a lane, its a role. lanes are what the creeps go down. you know those little guys. 2 why is league so hard to learn and why so many noobies are idiots, cause you cant just know your champ. you also have to know what counters your champ and how to get around it. remember at this time there are over 160 champs in game. also they say it takes about 100 game to learn the basics of a champ. not master but the basics. this is why its so hard. the other thing is is the other players. you come across smurf accounts. these are players with higher ranks but have other lower accounts so they can test or just boost their egos and you find alot that yell at you when you are still learning and they are trying to feed their ego. then you have other players. these are the people that play too much but dont think they are the issue. you hear their comments all the time. game is broken, this player played bad so we lost, this champ is broken and so own. these are blind players and tend to take it out on newer players cause they can. this is wht i say to anyone thinking of joining, play with friends vs bots for awhile. when you can handle the middle difficulty then you can go to vs other players and if you have to mute then do so. there are alot of tyler1 clones out there. dont let them spoil your fun.

Unfortunately, the answer is no to both of those. Multiple times over the course of these reactions has he made completely incorrect comments, for both old and current lore. Like in this very video, a minute in, he confidently says that Get Jinxed was made for Arcane, which is not even remotely true. If this was a one time thing, I'd call it just a slip up, or disregard it as misremembering something, but this exact kind of false statement was made in every video so far, quite often multiple times a video, which means that it's not a simple slip up, he just doesn't know the information, but talks like he does know. He deserves every bit of comment section banter thrown at him, but I do think the fellas in the video grill him a bit too much.
