Jio Gigafiber is the FTTH broadband service by Jio which they provide over fiber optic connection which claims speeds upto 1000 Mpbs currently it's 100 Mbps I had got 3 jio fiber connections and I share my experience the speeds, the wifi functionality how much data you get and what I like and didn't like about Jio fiber broadband connection.

@Mr. Stark finally someone commented this, bhai hai tu apna, daytime (11-3PM) aur (1-5 AM) me 80-100 ms aata hai aur wo v stable nhi, raat me customs nhi khel pata 😞☹️ 450ms aata hai ping jabki host ka 100-120ms 😢 Aur Jio ki server ki to aesi band bajti hai 7:30pm-10:30 ki literally 968ms pe jaake so jata hai 😭😭

I still remember when i was just 11 (in 2012), my dad took a BSNL wifi Connection just for me to use on my PC cuz i was a tech geek even back then😂 and oh my god when i think about its price today, my mind blows up! It was offering 512Kbps speed with 8GB of data and 84Kbps thereafter and for what? For ₹1000 Per Month! Things had Changed a lot.

Actually a bsnl lineman complained to me that the government isn't approving their tender for bring FTTH at wider range and to all existing bsnl landline connections. The availability is restricted. Simply they were supporting Jio over BSNL. This was his answer when I asked when will I get FTTH in my area , Chennai. The government is like the father figure of a country and if a service offered by a private sector is much much better than the one being offered by the government then I will say it is like a father who isn't able to provide his family and let's someone else do it in his place. Simply waste

Mr. Ranjit you're good at phones so be with it, not with the ISP/ Telecom industry. 1. About the routing you said: 30ms or something, it all depends on where your speedtest server is hosted. If you're selecting a speedtest server in Bangalore and testing at Delhi obviously you will get the lateny. Speedtest on speed sites are not actual speed test, multiple downloads from sites such as apple, microsoft are the reliable one or just use FTP server. 2nd 2.5 Ghz router can give you speed upto 300Mbps, no issues with 2.4Ghz, you might try to configure your 2.4Ghz band as "n" not "b/g or g or b" for better range and speed. Moreover, nearby Wifi router or bluetooth that runs over 2.4Ghz will collide with each other band causnig range and seed issues. 5Ghz is developed keeping this in mind. 3. About public IP? No ISP provides static IP to the home users, only natted IP is provided, to get one public IP you need to opt for the business/ Lease line connection and have to pay for that public IP along with your purpose of use and network diagram of your office.

I am getting like 90 mbps speed on wired connection via LAN cable to the router and to my laptop. You have other options like YOU broadband and Hathway broadband which also offers NO FUP plans (unlimited internet) at affordable prices.

I feel the reason for the lower speeds in the 2.4Ghz band may be due to poor choice of channels. Try downloading a WiFi analyser app on the phone and see which of the bands are least/not used and then manually select that particular band this will increase your speed for sure. In my case i went from 20-25Mbps to 50-55Mbps PS : I get 80Mbps on Ethernet

Thanks for letting us know about the double-NATted connection. In fact, ACT Telecom has also started the same practice. 99% of the users will not be affected by this because they are only downloading from servers. But for anyone trying to host a Private Cloud, or accessing their computer over VNC / RDP, etc. this type of setup will fail. The The Jio Firewall has already picked up a terrifying reputation for being very "sanskari". It even blocks Proxies and VPNs now.

Hello Ranjit, I'm from Mysore and Jio FTTH service has been active in my city from October 2018, or at least that's when I got the connection to my home. Since then, we've been using it for free till date and I'm pretty happy with their service. The consistency of 2.4GHz band is good and covers our entire flat, however, the 5GHz bandwidth barely manages to cross the room where the router is put up. Speeds are mind blowing, 5GHz bandwidth gives me speeds up to 96Mbps while 2.4GHz peaks up to 48Mbps, which is great for a home user. I have experienced severe ping issues but I didn't expect the same problem over there as well. Thankfully my Redmi Note 4 can work on 5GHz bandwidth. PS: Regarding the additional internet top up packs, I used to buy at least 2 extra top-ups every month, sometimes even 4 and I thought I was looting JioFi people (that's because the top up costs 0) beyond my 100GB limit, but now I'm relieved thanks to you! 😂 Also, I'm waiting for their JIO home services eagerly.

Sir, post a video on 2500 RS deposit Jio router. Reliance did not mention it's spec properly anywhere. It is a single band router . Lot of my friends came to know about it after purchase only. I don't think it has got a GE port also. Please do a comparison videos of both router to keep people aware about it. Thank you.

in my experience, the 2.4 ghz speeds are also dependent on the congestion. changing the band usually does solve it.

mohd tauqeer basically 2.4ghz provides you with large coverage of wifi but with reduced speeds of about 15 mega *bits* /s Whereas 5ghz gives you low area of wifi coverage but with speeds ranging from 96-98 mega *bits* /s

im using BSNL FTTH its performance was tremendous!!! you have to buy the ONT modem by yourself... Unlimited Voice Calls also available... if you get connections within a short period you can also get a fancy number tooo!!!

Bsnl ftth depends where u actually live..if youre in a tier 1 city like mumbai or delhi ncr it'll work like a dream..but if ur like me who lives in a tier 3 city , youll get 5 mbps download and 70 mbps upload on a 100 mbps plan.

Hi Ranjith, in 2.4 GHz unlicensed band , throughput will vary depending on interference from other appliances , microwave ovens , cordless phones ..pretty sure it isn’t any QC issues you can bring your cousin’s router to your place and test.

I've been using it since the last year, so far no issue with either of the operating bands, both work flawlessly and the 5Ghz supports upto 433 Mbps though it is limited to 100 only, ping hovers around 4-5ms and in case of PubG, I get around 18-20ms on Asia Server.

I am fully satisfied with BSNL. speed is very good in 777 plan with 50 Mbps up to 500 gb beyond 2mbps ,speed is constant and not fluctuate. and 24 hrs calling free any network.BSNL hai to bharosa hai.
