Thanks for sharing. 🙏🏼 Made me giggle. We hold so much tension, emotions and stress in our shoulders. It can be very difficult to let go. Great vid. 🥰🙏🏼☯️👊🏼

My God, what a vision. Then we get to the feet. They are like birds, martial artists. No matter how fine the plumage, how grand or powerful, the eagle to the budgerigar, they all have battered feet. UFC canvas is much bouncier, eh? Funny that Jiri is battling to temper his desire to bounce, his habit, because of flooring. I thought he had just streamlined his movement. Maybe Jiri should have a crack at Feldenkrais, to relax everything, then do the standing meditation. Interesting to watch him battle just letting everything rest on the skeletal frame. You assume all of that control and power of the mind would have translated to also being able to have no resistance, anywhere. Great video, interesting angle. For those who struggle to meditate in the traditional sense (yes, J'suis guilty), having the movements to focus on... hello higher plane.

well well… i tried the standing meditation for about 15 minutes today. my shoulders cried loud! amazing! also i tried the squatting monkey today. despite the fact i had leg day yesterday, my legs felt shaking after a few minutes. thats crazy… i also found these „stretchings“ in KZbin video which are no stretching at all, just holding a position ocer head for a mentioned time…. the was really hard work i have to say. also my forearms were blown away 😅😅😅 thats really interesting how would you implement it into your daily life and doing sports (weights, calisthenics etc) 4-5 times per week ?

Brother, it’s great that you are trying to introduce people and the community to standing practice, but I would suggest you try and explain what is the purpose of it. The purpose of it as far as I understand to date, is not to directly strengthen your positions by being immobile and holding a position in a relaxed manner, nor to do it as part of rehabilitation program (even though there are indirect benefits for the body). You need to include it in a system that is designed to lengthen your joints and loosen them so that you can then release the positions. Also you skipped what release is as a concept without which there is no standing practice. Release is the most important mental quality to the process that is required during standing practice. I greatly respect you and your videos, but I would suggest delving a bit deeper into your standing practice with extra supervision from an experienced teacher like the monkey kung fu master you studied for a period who clearly understands what he does. 🙏🏻

The problem is that he learned from a fake self-proclaimed master who claims to be a Shaolin grandmaster. He has photoshopped himself into pictures with famous masters and is scamming people to pay thousands of dollars for his mediocre lessons. He has also teamed up with another fraud, Shi Heng Yi. These people pretend to belong to the shaolin linneage when in fact they made it up. They know some things from here and there, but they are not masters. They fool a lot of people including me at one time.

Tension is why jiri lost vs alex pereira.
@GuerillaCatty738 ай бұрын
I think oversight and forgetting himself for a moment, possibly too focused on what he wanted to do, then relying on the reflexive movement to the side to escape one problem had him walking straight into another. Pereira was pure reflex with those two shots and, well, he hits hard and fast without any wind up.
