Ridiculously over-engineered, like all of your incredible work. You should get a show in an art museum: "Practical Sculpture". This isn't "something I made because I couldn't afford store-bought." This is "something I made because store-bought wasn't good enough." Truly fine build.

I have been agonizing over what type of drill stand to build. My plan is to use a cordless drill for portability. As I find all of your builds to be perfectly wonderful, it is only obvious I should purchase plans and build this design. So, I did just that, ordered plans. Now, onto the build! Thank you for all your great designs and the sharing of them!

You are very talented person indeed. This is my forth visit to watch you. Precision and clealiness /tidiness puts me to shame. But and it is big but- If you put the video how you made the jig for others to see, we considered that an educational & inspirational. Why would one watch it if one is not able to make what you had made and show others the efforts that person put in to learn. Of course you should be given due credit how you inspired that person. Imitation is flattery. You are using branded tools but they all have one common function to help you your work. Those branded products did not just materialised. They copied each other putting their twist on it. You are being very unfair and I would not repeat Shripal Singh's comments. but we all feel the same... We can make our own version like many others have done. What you are going to do if I make one with slight twist and put on TouTube or sale it [I am not in that business but who knows? ] Opposite of you is Tamar. I wrote to her that I was planning to make the board she made and naming it after her.

It's obvious that you have talent. And it's appreciated that your model has most of the parts that are feasible for someone with few tools. I understand that if the video is about how to make an adapter for a basic tool such as a drill, it is understood that you are someone who is just starting out in the DIY world. Maybe it's my mistake, I don't know. But it doesn't seem far-fetched seeing the development of your project, where, as I say, most of the parts are easy to make simply by asking your wooden board supplier to cut them for you. Seen like this, you should explain how to make 2 of the most important holes: the one in the board that will support the drill, and the one in the base board without a router. It makes a project of these characteristics more credible.

Very nice drill press stand! And so beautifully demonstrated. What a strange little electric hand drill, though - it sounds like its bearings are shot, and it's got a lot of run-out. I have a similar Hitachi hand drill that has taken lots of abuse and is still in wonderful condition 20+ years later.

Bryan Hancocks are you planning to put it on KZbin how you made it. I for one, would love to watch your version as you may not have all the tools and products he used in his creation. That would help us novices with limited / no experiences and unavailability of all the things needed to make jig, how you managed to do without all tools.

I like how you use the drill press to make the drill press and exemplify that by video looping, using the first 2 minutes of the video as a hook into the last 2 minutes. It reminds me of Donnie Darko. You know how the ending begets the beginning begets the ending and so forth. We are all masters of our own fate. Very cool build btw.
That is better looking than one you would buy at a hardware store. It is beautiful, however, I could not build this if you sold the kit with instructions!
