5:37 - I think you and I agree, the best jiujitsu is invisible to anyone watching. Anyone who says it's boring to watch has no idea what they're seeing. Stay boring, my friend.

8:39 *BEST ADVICE I've ever heard in BJJ (and in life in general). There's always some "area" where improvement is needed, and focusing on that area - rather than just "rolling" per se - is needed to make those improvements. I first learned this concept from Ryan Young's (Kama Jiu-Jitsu) youtube video, "BJJ School has no plan for you?"; Brandon Mullins (from Stephan Kesting's "12 BJJ Black Belts" youtube video); and Josh Saunder's you tube video "This is how you structure your BJJ training for maximum growth".*

Thank you! I just made a short video out of it based on your comment. Can you provide links to those videos please?! I'm too tired from a 3 hour open mat to look for them. haha. Oss!

At the 4:30 mark you say he has his knee in but that you have him pinned. Would that mean points for you in an IBJJF ruleset? Points for a pass?

I should be more diligent about recording myself and perhaps do voice overs as well. I’m still white belt but after 10 months the growth feels rapid. Especially when I find myself no longer surviving with certain partners but instead being capable of being much more offensive. Enjoy watching your videos a lot- you’ve got a nice way of sharing and teaching
@Jitsover508 күн бұрын
@@nicklovesjiujitsu thank you Nick! You should be recording for sure. Maybe your voice over can focus on whatever your working on atm
