Outdoor Catch and Cook | Surfcasting Fishing in Singapore (FRESHEST meal ever???)

Hi everyone! Welcome back to yet another episode of Jives Fishing! In this episode, we headed down to Marina South (Marina Barrage area) for some fishing and surfcasting, with the main aim being catch and cook. The people beside us caught a shovelnose ray (Kemejan) which they released :)) We managed to get a good sized (2kg +) orange-spotted grouper which we filleted and did a catch and cook on the spot with some butter, salt and pepper. Hi there, always enjoy your videos. Fished at Marina South barrage area earlier today during high tide, casted 3 times and sangkot and lost 3 rigs on all 3 times 😭 (i think its the seaweed growing just after the breakers...?). Any tips on how to overcome this?

@@JivesFishing so yall don’t drop the hook near the breaker itself? I’ve heard one method to fish for groupers is to drop the rig in near the breaker and move it around, looking for a grouper to come out and take it

"Which host do you prefer better"? Firstly, if we vote for one, the other will feel lousy. I don't think this kind of voting adds value to the channel. Both are good in their own way. I notice that many American love to use the word 'better'. Maybe I am old school, but won't 'more' be more appropriate? I am not saying 'better' is wrong since channels like CNN, MSNBC and Fox speaks like this. Ocean taste because you wash in sea water - maybe?

Hi. Great video once again! I got to ask. Where can I get a gas canister like the one you are using (blue colour), because I cannot seem to find any sites selling online. There are a lot of refill canisters for sale, but none of the actual canister that you can fit a stove burner on it. Thanks!

Nice catch. A good size grouper for the cooking session. Next time don't need to fillet. Gut it, salt n butter it. Wrap with aluminium foil and just lay it on to the hot pan on Fire. Cut it into two if necessary.

Hi, haha its okay we did take a picture together with the fish already! We used a long snood bottom feeder rig (with wire tired to the hook at the end). The hook size is 4/0, leader 60lb and sinker size 6!
