Personally if I had been in charge of WCW, I think I would have given the actual wrestling business aspects to Dillon and Sullivan, and used Bischoff as my greasy salesmen to send to fleece money out of people.

Eric did not fail Time Warner/ AOL didn’t want wrestling and Ted Turner wasn’t in charge that is why WCW went under. Eric was a wrestling guy he was brought up in the dying days of the AWA. I would also call Eric successful because he did what a lot of old wrestling guys couldn’t do( Dusty, Ole, Watts, Cornette, Flair and Sullivan) he beat McMahon for a while being the biggest wrestling company in the World. The people I previously mentioned had access to Ted as well and couldn’t do what Eric did.

To this day I would never believe a word Eric Bischoff ever says. He's a huge bullshit artist just like when you listen to Hulk Hogan. WCW failed and Bischoff never takes any responsibility for it but he sure as shit will tell you how wonderful he was in the 80+ weeks Nitro was able to beat Raw.

Ain't that the truth! That's why Bischoff is out there on the podcasts to revise the negative WCW history attributed to him. At every turn he tries to discredit the dirt sheets when he gets buried for something. To be fair, Meltzer and Keller didn't always get it right, but certainly there was a good amount of truth in the majority of their reporting.

luckiest person in the world Eric Bischoff made a profit for WCW only because he had a open check book from Ted Turner, (he was getting all the talent from wwf/wwe)as far of his predecessors Ole Anderson, Jim Herd a disaster waiting to happen.

Bischoff should been under someone to properly utilize his talents. Eric is a snake oil salesman and truly believes his own bullshit and that can be beneficial when relegated properly. There should have been a promotor between Turner & Bischoff,Bill Watts possibly. Eric needed someone who knew that product to monitor where the outrageous spending went. Eric brought in Hogan,great but once he turned WCW around,he became a huge festering sore to the company but because he was Bischoff’s friend,he continued burying new talent and getting obscene paydays for it. Watts would never have let that go on.

J.J is extremely concerned with how a person dresses. I was doing a job one time for a company called Takedownwrestle media. It was a three-day event. I had no idea that JJ was going to join us for a breakfast before the work day started. I thought it was just going to be me and a member of the crew grabbing a quick waffle and yogurt. So I just went down in a pair of shorts and a baseball cap. J.J. already dressed in a suit and tie, was highly offended. I could tell just by the way he talked and spoke with me. I wish I would have had warning, because later on I dressed professionally, but I wasn't for that breakfast that I had no idea he was going to be a member of. It forever tainted his image of me.

Bischoff is so full of shit, hed have had that info in a drop of a heart beat and did! He was so desperate to put WWE out of business, I mean if he didnt have figures or didnt want them then how did he prize Nash, Hall, Hogan etc from WWE? Obviously he knew their payroll.....even Nash and Hall have go on the record of saying that they were offered more in WCW I wonder why
@curthennig9448
@curthennig9448 Жыл бұрын
Hogan was actually gone from the WWF when Bischoff plucked him from that stupid movie series he was doing. Have to remember that Barry Bloom was negotiating for Hall and Nash before they came to WCW I believe. Eric could over pay these guys because it wasn't his company/money. With Turner's checkbook at his disposal ATM Eric started running wild. And you better believe that the wrestlers were well aware of it and most of them got some great guaranteed money with limited working dates.

Kevin Sullivan isn’t responsible. JJ not responsible. Nobody responsible when it’s bad. Everyone takes the credit when it’s good. Eric’s success was turning a profit, then beating WWE for 2 years. While Monday night football is also airing. That’s pretty damn impressive. With very little experience compared to Vince.

JJ is old school and knows how to play the game. He was pivotal in Jim Crockett promotions/WCW success,he had loyalty to the “Territory System”. My guess is that JJ collected all the information he needed while working in Stanford,knowing he would be back to WCW at some point and wanted to do right by them. He never denies what Bischoff is accusing him of but how JJ carries himself he would not outright take contracts or leave a sloppy paper trail so if Bischoff said “Hey,I really want Scott Hall and im gonna pay him 500,000”.. JJ would would interject with thats either far more or far less than he’s making now. Its smart business. And it actually seems like something Vince would send somebody to wcw to do. Bischoff became power hungry and thought he knew everything,had Bill Watts been in charge that information would have been handled properly.

Bischoff had to watch his p's and q's because the WWF had slapped a lawsuit on WCW before Dillon had returned to WCW. I think JJ left the WWF in Oct.1996. I'm not sure when JJ exactly started in WCW, but it was probably shortly after that.
