I’ve lived in both countries and I can tell you exactly the difference between. If you looking for somewhere calm with peace of mind and security Togo is the best. Ghana is developed country but depend what you want, Ghana has a lot of pressure with a lot of trafics everywhere and life is very expensive. You can survive in togo with a little money and also they don’t increase things prices everyday like in Ghana. So visiting both countries is worth it.
@nanabrimpong3485
@nanabrimpong3485 Жыл бұрын
Prices don't increase everyday in Togo because it's a duty free country unlike Ghana that has import duty and relies on the dollar rate. So when dollar rates goes up prices go up. This is why prices are changed all the time in Ghana because everything is based on the dollar rate.

In my opinion, for a first timer in Lomé, you're staying too far away from the city center. Those areas (where you're staying at) used to be small villages that became part of the city not too long ago (2014). Personally, I think it is very inconvenient. There's nothing there to see. I would have preferred locations such as Nyekonakpoé( not far from aflao border), Dekon, Soted, ablogamé, baguida, avepozo... Somewhere closer to the beach and city center where pretty much everything happens in Lomé.

To be fair... I think to really enjoy Togo and explore the in and out, the hidden gems, and the must sees, your tour guide needs to be A Togolese. No disrespect to Christelle❤ whatsoever, and I'm a fan of her channel, but she is still exploring Togo through her 3 years living there. She can only show you what she is used to or know. Trust me, a lot happens in Togo 🇹🇬 that even some Togolese are not aware of 😊 and that's a fact. Anyways, thank you for visiting, and I hope your stay was memorable. ❤ 🇬🇭❤ 🇹🇬 one family

Hi Ama. I don’t know which side of Lomé you are exploring, but the places I have been to have been nothing but top notch. You should probably link up with some middle class professionals and upper class friends, so they can show you the other side. You won’t be disappointed🤣. I do agree that Ghana is much more developed, but we are getting there.

Hello like your videos. But i have a little problem with the video! I'm not even from Togo, but we all Africans, we need to uplift each other. You don't go to one country and comparing them in the video. You can do that when you get back home, or off camera. The media have done that to us for so many centuries. It's time for us to uplift each other, to support each other because we're all the same people ! It was no border before colonisation.

Aw Jasmine, I'm loving this. One of my great-uncles studied in Liberia in the late forties which was rare for Haitians to go that far at the time and recounted to my family a few stories about Liberia, Ghana, Benin and Togo. I'm not sure why but Togo had a lasting impact on him apparently. Thank you so much for showing us Africa, I don't take those videos for granted at all as I know that it requires time, and money to travel but what a treat for us viewers. I laughed a bit at the man checking the cutlery and every single item in that apartment, that makes me wonder if they are just peculiar or have issues with theft in the area. I can't wait for more🤗

Welcome to Lomé Jasmine. As a person who grew up in the outskirts of Lomé, I think Adidogomé is too far from the city center and that wouldn't allow you to see what the capital city has to offer. Sorry your stay wasn't up to your standards. Hope you get to come back to Lomé and stay in where the action actually is and also get to go to Kpalimé, Atakpamé, Aného and many other places that show the beauty of Togo 🇹🇬😊.

This video bought back fond memories of my visit to Togo. I really enjoyed it I stayed near the border of Ghana and Togo and the bonus is that I can understand and speak French. I did not go through all that “red tape” procedure at my accommodations. I stayed in a villa that could house 5 plus people with a huge courtyard and the owner had a drinks business in which he shared his drinks with us.

Living in the US all my life. I will love Togo just my speed calm and slow and cheap. It aint no joke living in the US. From what I see Ghana is like the US overpriced and fast paced. At my age I need peace.

Hi Ama, your apartment wasn't bad at all dear, it looks pretty good and i guess everything one will need is his or her home is available too. I was in Togo the year 2002 and i only stayed for a day. I logged in a friend's house just to gain travelling experience

That lady sounds like an Anglophone Cameroonian. I will be surprise if she's Togolese.
