Okay, so: - Tengen is dead, and her remains are temporarily keeping the Japan Barriers standing - The Culling Games are technically still going on, but with Yuji and Angel getting rid of the Incarnate Sorcerers, the games will eventually collapse. - They intend to save the Sorcerers kidnapped by the American military... who knows how - With the exception of Tokyo, Japan seems to be more or less recovering, but Curses are still at large - No mention of the repercussions of the United States invading Japan - No mention of the entire world knowing about the existence of Cursed energy and Curses. Conclusion: A good chapter that explained and clarified a lot, but this ending really feels like a hook for a part 2, although I doubt we'll get one.

OK, here's my take on the Takaba Kenjaku thing: The real explanation is that Gege's trolling. 100%. The in-universe explanation lies in chapter 240, where Takaba says that Kenjaku (well, Geto's) monk getup with the long hair actually makes for a great comedy act. So I think he made his new partner use the same hairstyle not because he wants to relive his time with Kenjaku, but rather because he thinks it would make for a good act. By the way, the two people you didn't recognize are characters we've seen before. The girl Higuruma was speaking to is the associate attorney that was working for Higuruma, we see her in chapter 159. The kid that Amai was apologizing to is the kid that Yuji saved during Amai's flashback in chapter 163.

I mean, his conclusion was shitty at best (granted, that's probably because the manga wasn't supposed to end in the next chapter, but still), and we still could se some interactions between him and other characters. Him coming back without cursed energy and being kinda forced to be Takaba's partner not only would be funny, but also let us see more of Kenjaku's character while taking out the threat that he would pose, as not only he could not fight without cursed energy, but also being forced to stay with Takaba takes alway most of his planning power, as he can't even interact with cursed anymore.

Considering Gege never wanted jjk to be set in highschool maybe this is a stetup for a sequel after a time skip. Jjk is huge so he will be allowed to do whatever he wants if he chooses to make a sequel. For me, the chapter feels a bit… weird. Of course it’s still wrapping things up and telling us what certain characters are doing (sumo, katana, and manga guy), as well as Angel and Megumi. But the stuff with Takaba hinting at Kenjaku doesn’t seem like a conclusion but hinting at some hidden thing? Gege could’ve easily made it a bit about a lookalike but he intentionally kept it ambiguous. The stuff about the barrier makes sense, but it’s hinting at something big happening. And I’m confused as to why Gege wouldn’t include it. If it ended as “this is how it is, with most monsters going to Tokyo, life is normal, people moved, but we all have sorcerers like Yuji and co. helping people like these strangers”-that’s one thing. But it’s that WITH “all the barriers Tengen set up will potentially break… what will happen? We only delayed it for now…” And the gravesite scene… yeah it wrapped up Megumi’s thing which was good, but I thought it could’ve also been a scene for Gojo’s grave site too… but as you said, Gojo is just completely absent from… everyone and everything. Nothing about “rip he was a good mentor and helped us a lot” or “this is his resting place” or “he’s alive”. It’s just… weird and seems like Gege is wrapping things up the best as he can but leaving clear open threads for the future and if that’s the case why not say there will be some sequel after a break? (Especially since iirc he expressed interest to move on from the series, so I wonder if editors are intentionally telling him to leave some things vague for it he needs to return.)

a real calm chapter, and i dont know if this is a hot take or not, but i generally am a fan of "oh the characters just kept on living their lives" types of endings to stories. while things are still kinda in flux its not going to be sukana level problems every single day from now on for the gang. so for me all these seemingly new plot threads are less so a set up of whats to come, and more so just whats going to be going on. yuji and angel will help the incarnated sorcerers, maki will probably fight the katana and sumo guy eventually, higaruma will probs do some more cases, just things like that. and while i get why people are upset this isnt the most action packed exciting ending, i personally am feeling pretty good about how jjk is wrapping up. for sure not perfect, but a real fun time :)

I feel like Gojo is actually alive. Or maybe in some sort of coma state. Everything is intentional like the clocks the last couple chapters. Gojo not being mentioned means something is up with him. Gojo came back as a curse user but he’s not evil, they kinda explain it at the end with how a Curse user awakened at the end, it was when gojo died to sukuna and went the opposite way in the afterlife (might also be the way to become a curse object -it’s a reach). The representation that it gojo was the curse she sees has crazy eyes. The foreshadowing: shoko doesn’t believe in the afterlife (said in this chapter) so maybe she believes in reincarnation or something. Happy ending: gojo kinda comes back , less op, prob like a Hana/ sukuna that tags in and out of someone else’s body More to come: the new crew and gojo halfie, have to go around the world not just Japan fighter curses and curse users with potential of sukuna , along with the merger plot still lingering through the series. 🎉
