When I lived in Inner London until 1983,it did not apply but my neighbours would have taking parcels in,without hesitation. Since then,I have lived in The Outer London Suburbs ,this is common pracrtce in my part of our road to do this where neighbours interact. I am not so sure about other parts that I visit as there are some residents there who you can't even get a "Good Morning" out of,even if you are standing in the next driveway to them,just 3 yards away.

The guy saying "tomorrow" and "butter" does NOT have a Cockney accent. He's from Middlesbrough in the northeast. The guy with the microphone is a news reporter with an RP accent. I guess the story was something to do with accents, I don't know.

If you're not home when your parcel gets delivered the delivery driver will ask your neighbour if they'll take the parcel in and they put a card in your house to let you know where your parcel is. I think the tree would have been a better politician than David Cameron 😂

In the U.K. if the person who the parcel is for isn’t in the the Royal Mail or any other delivery like Amazon will knock on a neighbour’s door and ask if you will take the package. 1) It stops the package from getting stolen if left outside your front door. 2) It saves the delivery person coming back twice in one day.

In the clip of the guy making the chocolate dessert where he put the whisk in his mouth, he was on a program called 'COME DINE WITH ME'. Each night one person will cook for 4 others & they get rated on a score of 1 to 10. It would be interesting to know what they thought when they watched the show back & saw him do that. They get scored on the food, the entertainment & how the host treated them. The winner gets £1,000.

Did you know that Monopoly was invented to demonstrate why capitalism and renting properties was a bad idea? So the fact that the game is so frustratingly unfair is actually the point that he was trying to make. And the game "Werewolf" - which is the basis of games like "Among us" or "Trouble in Terrorist Town" and "the Traitors" TV show - was invented by a psychologist, who was trying to show that a group of people with privileged information (the werewolves / traitors) could manipulate those who're not privy to that information. Because, by random chance, as there's only a few traitors / werewolves compared to the number of innocents / villagers, they shouldn't really stand a chance of winning, but the traitors actually win more often than you'd mathematically calculate they should. Yeah, these games were actually invented to illustrate a point, which both of them do extremely well.

@j3mixa

I think they can just leave the parcels outside someone's home in the US, which of course is why there are so many parcels stolen there. To me both the US and the UK way sound risky. I wouldn't like if my parcels would be delivered to my neighboughs. I'd feel like it would inconvenience them too much plus my neighbourghhood is not the best, so there's also the risk of theft to consider. In Finland we mostly get our parcels delivered to a close by grocery store or a parcel machine that can be in shopping center, a bigger store or even outside of some commercial building. You get a text that tells you the parcel has been delivered, where it is, and a code to open the box of the machine. If it's in a grocery store you show your code to the cashier, and they'll get the parcel for you. It would be convenient to not have to go to pick up my parcel somewhere but usually mine come to the store right next door. Although, in December it can go just about anywhere, when everyone and their dog are ordering and sending things, and every store and machine nearby are full.

@@j3mixa I live in an English city suburb with a high crime rate...they are allowed to leave parcels outside (UPS etc) and they do on occasion but it's risky. Royal Mail usually leave a card to tell you to collect from the nearest depot if nobody is at home.
@j3mixa
@j3mixa 2 ай бұрын
@@shaunw9270 It seems like in many places they either leave the parcels outside or to neighbours. I don't know why they don't do that here. I've assumed that it's not legal here but maybe it's just cheaper to make everyone pick up their parcels when they can. The National post used to deliver a lot of parcels and leave a note, just like over there, if the person wasn't home. But nower days people order so much and post doesn't even get delivered every day, so maybe it's just too expensive to haul parcels around all day long for nothing since most people are at work anyway.

Here in Germany mostly when no one’s opens door, the parcel service usually goes directly to the neighbors and ask if they could receive the package for the neighbor and the original package recipient get a notification card in his letter box or a E-Mail with the name and address of the neighbor where the delivery service have stored the package. And sometimes if they can’t find a neighbor who takes the Package for the absent original recipient they take the package back with them to a nearby store which is designated as a official partner of the specific delivery company, where you can receive the package at the next day if you show the notification card from your letter box and your ID card. Leaving the package unintended at the property of the package receiver and without someone signing that they received/taken in the package isn’t allowed because as long as no one has signed taking the parcel the delivery guy legally responsible for ensuring that the package arrives by the recipient otherwise he is legally to blame if the delivery get lost and and he must financially compensate the content of the lost package by himself

I still think the guy on the moped rinsing ronnie is one of the funniest things ive ever seen. And I always felt sorry for the older guy who lost his mind at the bicyclist and took a header, he was going overboard but he was provoked if you see the whole video not only was cyclist behaving like an utter tw*t in the video, trying very obviously to geta rise from the bloke following him for ages riling him, he seems to be a bit of a weirdo in his comments where he just carries on posting this same cryptic reply every time someone says something negative about the video. proper strange individual. I don't know what his game is tbh he seems to enjoy causing troubles for troubles sake the sort of person who probably 'audits' in his spare time - which is a recurrent them with the spandex warriors, I find. Don't know what the issue is with some of them they seem to enjoy antagonising people enough but within the bounds of the law in order to get them to flip out as this guy did and they then get to call the law on them to feel some sense of superiority they otherwise never can because they've not much in the way of a pair of balls, and is why they need to resort to such cowardly and lowblow tacti
