This was a great video. I recently found out I have both pcos and rectovaginal endometriosis. I thought there was no way I could have both, but I've been to three different doctors and they've all said the same things. I'm only 18 so I'm worried about my fertility as I really, really want kids in the future. It also makes it really hard to lose weight and it's painful. Makes it even worse that neither are curable. @@ziggyflame6988 Thank you very much for your kind words 💜 As for my symptoms, I had horrible abdominal pains and pelvic cramps, as well as spotting between periods. My periods themselves were very heavy and irregular and I also dealt with rectal bleeding and rectal pain (both symptoms of the rectovaginal endometriosis). Most of the symptoms of the endometriosis and PCOS were similar except for the rectal pain, that was only from the endometriosis, so it was hard for me to accept that I had both. I've been treating it the best to my ability and it's good to remember that you don't have to wait until you're better to be happy 😊

I'm a big fan of your channel and think it's a great resource to get a brief knowledge about any disease or condition. However, I also have Endometriosis and disagree with most of the information you've given in this video. Firstly, recent studies have shown that endometriosis is not cause by endometrial tissue/ cells but it is caused by tissue that is similar to endometrial tissue. That means that it functions as it's own system and does not respond to regular hormonal treatments as it has it's own unique hormonal makeup. If anyone with endo is searching for answers here, the only takeaway should be the diagnostics i.e laparoscopy. But if the gynaecologist is skilled enough, endo can also be diagnosed using a trans vaginal ultrasound. Lastly, thought the line of treatments you've suggested are the first and second line prescribed by many gynaecologists, sadly there is no cure for this dreaded disease.
@donnahenhoeffer3 жыл бұрын
I will have to disagree that there is no cure. I chose not to have a hysterectomy at 42 and I created my own protocol. Each woman is on their journey, some have chosen to have surgeries and some multiple, and although this may have been their journey, I hope they come to find solace that there is hope. I am living proof. I am now 51 and teach others to heal and grow. Endo needs much compassion.

The breast pain always hit me -especially my right breast - at least 2 weeks before menstruation. Symptoms: breast tenderness, lumpy, and formation of cysts and fibroids. This right one has a number of cysts and fibroids than the left. All in all, the discomfort was such a nightmare that i often worried that i had cancer 😢😭 Recently i underwent laparoscopy to remove this culprit from my right ovary after discovering that it had grown bigger to 5cm from an ultrasound. M so glad that i had it done as i am free from breast pain today! 5 days to menstruation and i am happy ~ say bye bye to mood swing 😊🥳 Just that i have to be on medication permanently and my gynae suggestsd birth control pill to prevent the return of endometriosis. Another proposed solution is to get pregnant which hopefully will help in hormonal changes 😂 but i am not going for it.

I would say yes. For me, I often braced myself the closer I got to periods until I learned how to navigate me. I healed naturally of my endo...again women can only start from where they are with this illness. Given my healing, I mentor individuals in my private practice with my healer and neuroscientist biz partner. If you are curious about healing and growing, we can chat.

No not as yet. I had a hysterescopy awake and didn't need any pain relief during the procedure.. I was hoping that the surgery for endometriosis would be in a similar way as the whole body doesn't need to be targeted or under extreme Anesthesia.. I'm afraid of needles and hospitals and thought this would be great for women like me Janet

Hi I'm 30 and unmarried. For the past 3 Months onwards I had started getting pelvic pain(sometimes especially on left side) during my periods which was not usual previously. And my flow stays only for 2 days. Also I had taken MRI pelvis scan . My gynecologist said everything seems normal. Im just worried about this endometriosis. I had read somewhere that endometriosis will not be visible in MRI scan. Is that true? Is there a chance to develop endometriosis symptoms suddenly at this age?

@lynsey42243 жыл бұрын
This is what I want to know. My pain isn't too bad but my mri scan showed that my organs are all stuck together. But I told my doctor that the constant spotting was my main issue and he thinks that's being caused by a polyp. So I'm waiting to get that removed. He also wants to try the mirena coil to help with symptoms. I'm so confused as I wasn't offered a laporascopy despite things looking a mess. Does it all depend on how much pain you're having? I don't really feel comfortable just living life with things sticking together on the inside. I feel it will only get worse in time.
@mahdee28722 жыл бұрын
@@lynsey4224 I think it all depends on the pain you’re having I would definitely advocate for yourself to get that laparoscopic surgery done so that they know exactly what’s going on with you I just had an ectopic pregnancy so I had an emergency laparoscopic surgery I told them I was in a lot of pain so they had to remove the pregnancy from my tube and that’s when they discovered the endometriosis and removed some of it but there is a lot more left so we are going to address it when my labs come back
@lynsey42242 жыл бұрын
@@mahdee2872 hello, thanks for your reply. I've since learned I have severe endometriosis which was picked up on an MRI scan. I was told the laporascopy would be risky due to adhesions on my bowels, I guess they didn't want to damage anything and the whole mess inside makes it hard to avoid things. I really don't know. I had my polyp removed from my womb which unfortunately did not stop the spotting and my pain has been getting gradually worse over the last few months. After a solid 2 weeks of relentless pain I've given in and booked myself in to have a mirena coil fitted to try and help. I know it doesn't work for everyone but I feel it's worth a try. It feels like a waiting game all the time with this disease doesn't it, just a slow process to trying things out and seeing if anything helps.
