7:46 This is why they traded Marcus. Not because he said they should pass more, but because Marcus really thought he was on the same level as the Jays, and wanted to take as many shots as they did. Far too often he would be taking the last second shot, and I loved him to death but that's not what the team needed. His style of play could be really chaotic at times, it was very hit or miss, not consistent. Replacing him with Jrue was the best move the Celtics made, he brought a calming presence at the PG position they desperately needed in crunch time. I loved Marcus's heart but his decision making was questionable. Jrue is not only a better playmaker, but a better defender without fouling. Great moves by Brad to make this happen, and everyone is signed for the next couple years so there's potential for more success in the future.

The Mavs need to make a few moves I think. They need a 3&D wing to upgrade Derrick Jones Jr. He would be great off the bench, but a wing who can really shoot and play solid defense could get Dallas over the top. Kidd tried going to Green, Hardaway, Exum, Hardy.. but none of them are good enough on both ends of the court to really help win a championship. Green aint bad though. Lively is a great young center who will work on improving his post game. Gafford and PJ are perfect fits too.

im a little worried about al sticking around. might leave a hole in the roster. i want pingus to come off of the bench. that;s the best way to limit his minutes and max his output. he will win sixth man of the year. it won't be close. come out and knock down threes, catch lobs and get dunks in transition, and block shots. be healthy in the playoffs. that leaves al as a starter. can he do that at 38 years old? i hope i am wrong. al is a special athlete, takes care of himself and he's got no bad habits, but 38 is ancient for an NBA player.
@EMTE-l9p
@EMTE-l9p 3 ай бұрын
Next season Al should be a starter for up to 5 minutes in each quarter. KP should come in off the bench. At this point we should treat him as luxury and preserve as much as possible for the playoffs. The task will be to then have two more rim protecting centers who can give you up to 20 mins per game and can emulate what Al and KP do. If Kornet is to be one of them he should go back to practicing threes, which he was pretty good at earlier in his career. If Tilman is the 2nd one he should spend the summer shooting threes. His D and game around the rim is good but he cannot stretch the floor right now. He's a FA though so not sure how this pans out for the C's.

7:25 No reason to be flummoxed. The two of you are top 30-40 players. But, that could mean you both cost more per year than the production you provide. Why Brad Stevens had to stack the deck & acquire the best supporting cast in the NBA. Which affords the two of you a true five out scheme to take advantage of. But, this is unaffordable long run with the new CBA. I'd still be interested in trading Brown for the right deal. Should be able to fetch a better one after winning finals MVP.

It tickles me how all these talking head continue to say that Boston overtakes the Lakers in championship wins, THE LAKERS HAVE NEVER HAD MORE CHAMPIONSHIP WINS THAN BOSTON. Boston has had more championships than the Lakers for the ENTIRE history of the NBA, in winning that bubble crap the Lakers TIED Boston with them both then having 17 championships, now Boston has it’s 18th the Lakers have NEVER repeat NEVER lead Boston in the championship chase, and as for Head up championships the Lakers and Boston have played each other for the championship12 times and Boston has won 9 of the 12, so NO, the Lakers have NEVER been a more storied franchise than the Boston Celtics.

I don’t think Celtics fans are throwing themselves a pity party. In fact, there are alot of haters towards the Celtics. If you watch the stats, everybody wanted mavs to win for 2024 championship. Everybody said Celtics was weak, soft, playing against injure teams. Everyone kept doubting the Celtics. The list is endless. Talking bad about their franchise. Despite them having an amazing roster and good super team they still get hated on. They have a bunch of great guys and humble players but even so still get doubted and hated on. They ARE a good team but kept having to prove themselves to everyone else who didn’t believe in them. They deserve this win and we’re happy for them! 💚 so to answer what you said, I don’t think they’re throwing themselves a pity party.

I’m expecting this man to be the next generation’s Coach Pop. Just have to let LBJ ride out to the sunset and trade AD as soon as possible.

JB guarded Luka so well man, I think it’s well deserved, and he made big big shots in the clutch.

Toss up between Tatum and Brown. Both were key Tough to say who’s the 1A on the team. Tatum for offense and brown on defense… but both play the other role really well as well

Because was Jaylen was Better when it mattered . Besides the incredible job he did on Luka and Kyrie defensively, JB shot 58% in those first 3 games to Tatum's 35% . Tatum padded his stats in Game 5 after it was basically over; up by 21 points at half.
