Yeah. I mean, D-Wade literally said that watching him doing that motivated him to be better. Without that Olympic camp, we may not have gotten the version of D-Wade, LeBron, Carmelo, etc. that we saw in the NBA after.

Kobe played in the generation wherein everyone knew that MJ was the greatest and everyone worked and aspired to be like MJ. That's the competition he faced. I think the thing about Kobe is that the Mamba Mentality can be applied to anything you love. If you wanna be an artist, you should strive to be the best damn artist. If you wanna be a damn brick layer, why WOULDN’T you be the best damn brick layer out there? Kobe used each day he had on earth to become better at whatever he was doing than he was the day before. That’s something that anyone can strive for-just to IMPROVE. Even so, there’s never gonna be another Kobe. Not in a million years.

I love the stories about Kobe, he was very special and he had a way about that made you at ease with him. Kobe was a friend and a little brother that some of us wish we had but didn't, he was such an amazing person, and I love to hear all the stories about him. The more you guys talk about him the more I began to appreciate him more because he was more than a Basketball player, he was a loving husband and a loving father, he always wanted to be the best verge of themselves. He always took his game to the next level. Kobe to me was a perfectionist, the way he played the game, his shots were textbook, his footwork man was like no other and till this day I have not seen any player as of yet that has the footwork like Kobe. He was such a fascinating person, larger than life to me, and to hear all these stories about him WARM MY HEART. Thank you guys for sharing and giving us a glimpse into Kobe the Legendary, visionary, #GirlDad, Story Teller, that we all knew and loved. I really miss Kobe. Not only was he in my second team, I understood the level that he played at the work he put in when nobody was around. And losing him and his daughter the way we did, will forever hurt. My daughter is a b-ball fanatic and we both were heartbroken to find out they’d died. Me, I was at home, 30 minutes later, I’m picking a crying 12 year old from b-ball practice as they just heard the news.

The comparison on work ethic shouldn't be made. MJ didn't work as hard as you think. He gambled, drank and smoked too much.

He had great genes! His work ethic mentally and physically were off the charts and the fact he could be the best with very little sleep!!! He didn't need the rest most people do! Gone way to soon! True Legend and never forgotten!!! Thanks for the memories Mamba!!! RIP 🙏 🕊 ☮

Kobe did say later he should've slept more. His trainer had to make sure he got rest because Kobe was prone to overworking himself.
