Would this hold up as well or better than the 9mm Versax for higher pressure calibers like 5.56? Does the titanium mixed with the aluminum actually make it hold up better?

The mount is intended for NVG use, or gas mask use yes. Might be a little extra on a gun like that but was designed around a more standard AR configuration I believe.

Is it wise to try and shoot .300 blackout out of one of these?

Its rated for .300 Blackout. Although I'd be a bit leary of throwing supersonic out of this can. However the manufacturer lists .38 .300 357 and 9mm in any barrel length as rated. 357 is a high velocity round. Although I haven't seen any reviews with it running supersonic 300. It eats 300 blackout all day. I have a 16" 300 black out barrel for supersonic, but I'm a bit scared to throw them out of this tube. My rugged obsidian 9mm is NOT rated per manufacturer for supersonic.
