I literally just came across your channel tonight cause I was feeling nostalgic about Prisoner of Azkaban on GBA and then Chamber Of Secrets. I clicked on your channel hoping you covered the PC and Ps2 games. Those were my favorite, but I get your personal decisions man. For years and years I've been very adamant about keeping Harry Potter and J K Rowling separate. It's healthier. I don't believe it should always be keep the artist separate from the art, but in cases where the artist proves themselves to be a disappointing person, it makes that choice very easy.

Damn... I just discovered your channel a couple of days ago because i wanted to watch some reviews about the old gameboy harry potter games (especially the gbc chambers of secret and the gba quidditch game). Sad to hear that you want to distance yourself from the harry potter game franchise but i do accept your decision, although i think that it's kinda harsh to abandon the series because of a woman and her opinion about different sexualities which has absolutely nothing to do with the games that were developed by others for the older platforms (which are of course following her script/work, but you said it yourself, she's not even involved that much into the games except the world that she had created and the lovely game studios did their best to make the most of it). That's like abandoning the old silent hill series bc of konamis shitty policy. I dislike konami, but it would be hard for me to leave the whole franchise behind. Guess Flandrew doesn't exist or any let's player or Walkthrough hell even my own Livestreams Playing the games and giving facts about them as I am gonna be playing every single one of them including Consoles. Granted I Know more about the console versions than the handhelds, however I still will play them, and give facts I do know about them and play them. I don't cater to people from Twitter, I play what I want to play not because someone told me not too. That just makes me want to play it more. Also ones belief of the way somethings are doesn't dictate your own beliefs and actions. For example some people are super religious, others are not. either side can believe what they want with out believing in the other. Just because your favorite Actor/Actress, Author or any celebrity or even Friends and Family. Believe in something you don't, shouldn't affect what you believe in, all that does is show is that you are easily swayed into a belief or don't have a strong faith in something and can be mobbed like sheep.

I just found your channel in a slew of nostalgia and I loved your reviews. Although I was hoping to find videos on Goblet of Fire GBA and the other sequels, I have mad respect for you doing this. I stumbled on your channel randomly because of your AVGN Movie review. Watching this long after the fact as a random, impartial passerby, I will say it's quite funny to me that this is the last video you've yet to make. You sacrificed your niche for an issue with a really simple solution: separate the art from the artist. JK Rowling IS the creator of the books, but a lot of people other than her made the movies and video games. She was a conduit, not a mastermind, and her latest work with Fantastic Beasts has been a travesty, so there's no reason to appreciate her as artist as of late anyway. Her bigotry could never take away what Harry Potter meant to us growing up nor what it still means to us now. I don't want to say it's weak-willed to let something like that ruin something for you, because I do think you are quitting your niche for the right reasons, but It's just not a decision I respect. If we only consumed entertainment made by "good people," we couldn't consume anything and miss out on the best art ever made. But you do you, man. Best of luck.

Separating the artist from it's product is a real brainwork. I've been a big Harry Potter fan, ever since my childhood. When I learned about JKR's actions, I was hit, but I managed to make it through. That being said, I definitely am not looking up to her and am not supporting her. If I'm getting Hogward's Legacy, I am doing it for the devs, not her. As I said, it's a tough pill to swallow, especially when trying to explain it to others. Though Charlie's Angels and 2016 Ghostbusters bombed financially, so it can always go either way. Sometimes it can be due to quality, or how the people involved treat the audience.

Having read her tweets, I don't see anything transphobic or bigoted about them. I don't think she's bitter, foul, or hateful, at all. I also don't see how it makes sense to stop doing these reviews because of her opinions. They are separate from her, though if you can't, you can't. I also don't think it hurts any trans person for you to continue to do these reviews. I don't see that non-binary is even a thing. I'm not sure what a man or a woman ultimately is, when you look at so many factors. Some women can't give birth, or have periods, or have to have their breasts removed - but are they not women? Men with or without gender dysphoria can have gender reassignment surgery and 'become' a woman - but are they? I'm just not sure. Ultimately, this is a pretty disappointing decision and I don't see how you can view her tweets or views as at all transphobic.
