Yeah, Plasma Puffer is finished alright. He is in pieces. According to the dialogue, Plasma Puffer tampered with the power cores. Way Zero talked reminded me of the police officers responding to the suspects' folly. Although Mega Man X and the derivative games are only games, they remind me of the crap that the police officers have to put up with.

I agree. The dialog was pretty good. It's a pretty common occurrence to have disgruntled workers like this being angry they got stripped of their former power. It makes it not such a black-or-white issue. I commend whoever's writing the dialog.

Think of it as selecting a difficulty. All of the Sigma class bosses are basically Vile level of difficulty, with extra threats and more refined and dangerous attack patterns. And I think they start using their desperation attacks sooner, too.

@@vinceunknown1935 According to a reply made by JKB himself to someone's comment, before that person deleted his initial message (and wiping out the comment chain as a result), there are five difficulty levels, from lowest to highest: 1. C Class 2. B Class 3. A Class 4. S Class 5. Σ (Sigma) Class. There was a Twitch video of X fighting against Σ Class Strike on JKB's channel; in it, Strike's aggression level and attacks were increased quite a bit. It's probably a difficulty that shouldn't be taken lightly.

Do remember that in some media, showing, instead of telling, often speaks volumes. As it stands, sure, Puffer's eyes widening for a moment is a sign of his surprise at spotting Zero, but given that he seems to be (and still is, in my book) a source of humour, an exclamation mark above his head would complete the moment.

Awesome footage! It's great that you've included an easier boss to help ease players into the game, as well as help kick-start the weakness chain for faster progression against these bosses for those who choose to use them. It's a game design element from every Megaman X game, and it's nice to see you're sticking to it. :D I'm glad you've embraced a more lighthearted Maverick design for Plasma Puffer. I can also see the design influences from the Gulpfer enemies from X1 - a nice touch since Web Spider from X4 draws a lot of inspiration from Bospider from X1 as well. Part of what makes the X series so special was that you were fighting all these different kinds of Mavericks. Big or small, honorable or crazy, cool-looking or downright bizarre...every game had a mix of designs that made it clear that you weren't fighting some elite team of similar-looking robots, but a mix of mechanical beings hailing from different backgrounds with different personalities, powers, and designs that became corrupted - often by a virus, but also because of ideologies that went against humanity or the Maverick Hunters. But yeah, continue the great work, JKB Games! I look forward to seeing more of the game in action. :D

Actually when JKB did it all the movements follow a algorithm. He uses those algorithms to dodge based on how they get launched at first. He did code them so j guess that makes sense for him. All I see is death everywhere.

This looks awesome. I can't believe how far along this has come. If i could offer one critique it would be that the center floor tile in the boss arena looks like a death pit. Maybe brighten it up a little bit to make it look like its part of the fore ground and not the back ground. Keep up the great work.
