good morning, how thick is the top plate? I need it for a box calculation. The height of the wire is 21mm, Xmax?

I didn’t get a chance to take the complete assembly off to measure that. If you don’t mind me asking, how does top plate thickness relate to box design? I am not sure I can correlate those two variables.

hey mate, i'm from brazil but im thinking about repairing this exact sub, but a 10" one, here is pretty bad to get my hands on a good repair kit, can i send you a video of the sub and maybe you can recommend me some place that i can import the things that i need to repair it?

You kind find most of the parts at Lord of Bass (George) or Robot Underground (Patrick). Look them both up.

What glue did you use?

Epoxy for coil and silicone for surround

Do you have a link to the voice coil that you used? I found different 38.5mm with different lengths.

Hello. The labor for repairing these is pretty intensive and may not be financially beneficial for you, especially when you include shipping charges. I urge you to take a shot at repairing them yourself with the information provided in the video.

No off the shelf kits but you can rebuild it relatively easy with off the shelf parts. Check out Lord of bass for the cone, coil, and spider. Also check out Robot Underground

Good video. Got me to drag out my blown 10Wv3v3 2 ohm sub and give it a go. Spent the day getting it all apart, cleaned up, and ready for a new coil. But I spent some time looking online, and can't seem to find the single coil, 2 ohm voice coil, for it. It's about 53mm tall from the bottom of the spider, @ 39mm width, and @ 36mm of coil height(From best I can tell. Most of the wire was pulled off the tube already). In case anyone knows where i can find 1...

Glad it helped. Many folks out there wind coils. I am not sure why the 4 Ohm I found for the 8 inch is no longer available. Checkout lord of bass or robot underground and see if they have any input.
