The JLab sounded like it has a wider frequency response which translates to a fuller sound in the recording! Much better sounding then the shure mic

The comparison is wrong because the volume is not equal, your test is crap, end of story.

hey dude...curious what mount you use? i just got this mic and i love it...but im thinking of a mount like yours instead of the tripod...thanks for your time!

The usb doesn't allow the pc to recognize the mic when you first connect it. However, if you use a different cable to connect it to your pc, it will recognize the mic and then you could switch the cable back to the one that came with the microphone and it will work.

I am building my YT channel and was not sure between the blue Yeti and the JLab talk Pro. I decided to spend the extra bucks and get this one, since it has usb-c connection, 4 different audio recording directions, led light is cool, and it sounds great. The blue yeti has been out for 5+ years and is way popular, but i dont like that micro usb connection it has. I think this may not be as popular, but it will be a great option and seems to be an upcoming / trending product.

Very Amazing review I was hesitant to get the Talk or Talk Pro and your videos were the best help I could find I'm going to settle on the Talk Pro as I reviewed other JLab Products and think this would be a great buy as I'm looking to start a podcast and continue doing KZbin, dropped a sub to your channel as well

Had the same cable connection problem not registering with my PC. They sent me a 2nd one and that one didn't work either. Now using the cable that charges my cell phone (Moto G7 play)......only problem using it .......not long enough. So, yes......it's an issue that needs to be addressed .

The frustrating thing about microphones is the same with camera. At some point the more money you spend the more minute the difference. It's makes you start overthinking things lol but I'm giving this mic a go.

Tengo este micrófono es muy bueno pero definitivamente, el cable es un problema porque no siempre lo detecta la PC o la laptop, tardan mucho en darte respuesta y terminas usando un cable de cargador de teléfono.

Hi Frank, I just bought my JLAB Talk Pro Mic 2 weeks ago, and faced the same issue as the cable does not work with my Mac 2012 desktop. After I have tried 5 or 6 different USB to Type-C cables, one of them is working now. The problem for me is the worked cable is not longer enough to use. I am wondering is it JLab changing a new one to all of users whom bought this mic. I am living in Taiwan, and thank you the video that you posted on KZbin. Jerry
@StreamGearTalk3 жыл бұрын
Hi jerry, The last time I spoke with the representative he mentioned that the cable issue was also a potential windows security issue preventing the usb from recognizing the mic. Now you’re on Mac so that’s probably a different issue. As far as changing the cable goes yet reaching out to them an see if they will. I don’t know honestly but it would surprise me if they don’t!
@njitjerry3 жыл бұрын
@@StreamGearTalk Thanks for the response. I contacted one of cable companies in Taiwan, and they will support a USB 3.1 Type-C to USB A cable to me. I will test it, and make a KZbin Video if that cable works with my 2011 i-Mac(iOs Sierra).

U have a suggestions for cheap mics for recording music?
@JahshuaGiveon3 жыл бұрын
Fifine on Amazon, its like $70-$80. For the price it is really good.
@StreamGearTalk3 жыл бұрын
For $70 -$80 I’d say get a shure sm58 (99% of love performers use this mic) and a cheap audio interface and boom quality mic for music.
@StreamGearTalk3 жыл бұрын
Now if xlr and audio interface are not viable then yea a fifne mic or something along those lines should be decent starter
@amplifistrategy81183 жыл бұрын
So how is this not exactly like the ThronMax Mdrill Pro? It just looks like a complete copy!? I’ve had the Mdrill pro for two years now... love it. But this mic is disturbingly similar
@skylerbond563 жыл бұрын
The jlab does up to 192kh/24bit Resolution vs the Thronmax being up to 94khz/24bit resolution. So a little better audio resolution with the Jlab.
@skylerbond563 жыл бұрын
Essentially is theory the jlab Talk should have similar audio quality to the Thronmax Mdrdrill Pro. (Based off specs) which doesn't mean it's guaranteed to be better or worse.
@amplifistrategy81183 жыл бұрын
@@skylerbond56 yeah.. a little bit better resolution than the MDrill Pro, but this design... it's a blatant copy of Thronmax.. or vice versa.. or are they the same company with different brands??
@skylerbond563 жыл бұрын
@@amplifistrategy8118 Could be the same manufacturing facility for sure.
@juliusjeiter35093 жыл бұрын
From the outside it is really identical to the Thronmax Mdrill one…. I bought it in June 2020 and it had the exact same USB-cable issue as described in the video. Contacted the company and they wanted to send a replacement. It never arrived. Even worse. I connected it to three different computers. It crashed all three of them and bricked the mainboard of one of the computers… Returned it. However, since this is superficially identical and has the same cable issue, this is definitely some mic I am going to avoid.
