Flying Like The Avatar! Real Personal Flying Machine V2.0

I built a second version of my giant human flying multicopter. This drone features 8 100cc motors (soon to be 10), it's dimensions are 8x8 feet and it's currently capable of carrying just under 200 pounds! The user will be able to stand on top and control the flying machine by simply leaning with assistance from the drone flight controller, giving the user lots of freedom to fly like the Avatar The Last Airbender with his staff glider.

I mean. I got a challenge that I’d like see done. Make the iron man suit that comes out of a suitcase. Tbh idk how you would go about it. I’ve seen some people do it with some clever origami, but since I don’t think you are down to make a whole suit, maybe make the upper body (without the mask) so you can add some lasers or fire or something. Maybe put it in a back pack? Or something compact. Doesn’t have to be exact or accurate in anyway, however, I think you should take the idea and run with it and see what happens🤷🏽‍♂️

You should make a fire bending arm mount, punch activated, I think it’s pretty easy, you will need some electronics to gauge it Edit: just an arc lighter for the ignition should work

I think you should have a four sides prop instead of two for more thrust. and add suspension to the legs for a softer landing. You could also make a gear overdrive so that the propeller is spinning faster than the engine. So you'd put a big gear on the engine that on a shaft next to it is going to be a smaller gear so that it will spin that propeller faster making more thrust.

The drone is really cool. Maybe if you made like four angled landing legs mounted farther out on the drone it would help it from tipping. Even make the legs compress able some how so if you land at a angle it would correct the drone with out the jerk. I know weight is a huge factor but I think you could make it light.

The KV of a motor is its velocity constant. It represents the maximum rpms per volt applied. So, multiply the KV by your battery voltage and you've got the max theoretical speed of your motor. It does not mean kilovolts.

I know this is a year old but maybe you still check comments who knows. This flying machine is a pretty cool project but Aang's and the Airbender's glider is just that a glider. It's not a flying machine and in fact with the exception of Zaheer who had to abandon, or lose, all earthly tethers to truly fly. Airbenders glide by manipulating air drafts like flying squirrels and most birds but more directly given their bending abilities. That's why Aang stops often to catch another draft. He also uses his glider as a fighting staff so it's technically a compact hand glider which personally would be an awesome build.
