Thank you Astrodiver, we do them because we like it. There are so many little things that make up the big picture and we've set out to share some of what we know in the hopes that it will help others. We also welcome better ideas on any of the topics we review, realizing there is always a different approach. Thanks for watching!

My dream is to retire in a kadey krogan but I'm not gonna retire a millionaire so I'm not sure I can realistically do it. These videos are fun for me. I've boated my whole life, both inshore and offshore. These are absolutely fantastic. Thank you!

Will: Thank you for your nice note. It is a great lifestyle to get involved with, maybe another type of boat would get you out on the water?

On my boat I had to clean the sea strainer for the AC about every 2 weeks. A lot of strainers to clean if you lets say have 2 engines 1 generator and 3 Acs.Are there any boats that have a central strainer for everything ?

Rupp: Very important to exercise through hulls, clean out strainers, refresh impellers, etc. All part of the cooling. Most boats are built this way. An alternative on a new build is a "sea chest" which is one large entry that becomes essentially a manifold for distributing sea water to the machinery that needs it. Not practical to change out the boat to a sea chest.

I have looked at sea chest but have never seen one in real live. Now what would be pretty cool would be a sea chest with a large built in sea strainer. Hook up all your seacocks to that and for all your systems on the boat that need seawater have only one large sea strainer to keep clean.@@JeffMerrillYachts

Here's what I see: Two wingnuts keeping the boat from sinking. I think I'd be happier with appropriate brass nylocks...not to overtension just to stay put (vibration etc.)

You do need to check on the tightness. What opens, must close and when water is on the other side you need to keep it out
