The problem is a lot of 80s and 90s country artists are still making amazing records but they can't get played on the radio because of shit like Cole Swindell… This song is reductive. The only good thing that came from this was people finally realizing that Jo Dee is out there making music still after curb records blacklisted (because Mike Curb is an ASSHOLE)

What's really nuts is she sounds exactly the same as i remember. That song and her version of I'm Alright by Phil Vassar are 2 of my all time favorites and two of what i call the top ten of getting me into country when i was a kid. I love everything about this. His lyrics are great over the familiar tune, the incorporation of the original lyrics as part of the story is a great way to pay homage. I hope he succeeds in bringing back more older songs like this.
