I think the "draw" in "Draw and Write" is referring to drawing tokens from the bag (instead of rolling dice or flipping cards) 😂 Thanks for the review - hopefully picking this one up soon!

Orleans is one of my favorite games, and a streamlined version means it would hit the table more often. I will have to check this out.

I took draw and write means drawing the chips from the bag or drawing cards.

I got this as a Christmas gift from my brother, played it several times and it is fine, not overly complicated and the theme is very similar to Orléans. So if you like Orléans and don't hate roll'n write games I'd recommend it. Solo version tacked on and takes up half of the sheets, but seems impossible to avoid these days.

This was a fantastic game… really gives you the feeling of Orleans. My only large complaint is that the symbols on the papers are so small that’s it’s quite hard to see, especially the workers. That being said, the vast setup time difference between this and Orleans means I’ll often want to play this more.

It boggles my mind how the colour choices of dark grey, dark brown, and black on that pad made it through even a single round of prototype playtesting. It's a really great little game, but that visual design was staggeringly shortsighted.

It's so weird how many people does not know that saint Joan is the OFFICIAL SAINT of catholic church - it's like putting f.e. saint Theresa from Lisieux on the game cover and removing the halo symbol...

I hated the look and graphic design of this game. It was so hard for me to tell colors and icons apart.

It sounds like the only issue you both had is something that color-blind people go through with every game (except they cannot easily make out the colors, and you cannot easily make out the shapes/poses).

True, and I believe games should be color-blind as well as no color-blind friendly as well.

Saw it being played, seemed to drag on a long time for a 3 pllayer roll and write. And that art.......someone at that place needs to hire a new artist, that cover alone...... 😢
