For all the people attacking Bo Derek, I can see both point of views. Bo is simply saying that some people are sensitive and may take offense to Joan's raunchy humor - which is very true. Joan is saying that it is all for entertainment and if someone lets her know they are offended, she would stop. I can understand both sides.

Bo is a beautiful, kind, sweet, gentle, shy ,classy lady ! There is nothing wrong in her behavior in this interview she conducted herself with dignity and intelligence here. She cares deeply about animals which shows she has tremendous empathy. People finding fault with Bo are just haters filled to the brim with jealousy . This lady is darn near perfect and all these people are insulting her because they wish they looked like her. By the way, who cares if she is democret ? No, not jealousy but an accurate assessment of attractive women who don't grow and learn and expand their world. They remained limited and serve no purpose other than being trophies or to shore up an aging partner's ego in exchange for financial benefits. Great looks last only about fifteen years tops. Good for Derek. She doesn't need to pretend she's fine with Rivers' humor. Just because she says "Oh, that's awful. You should stop that and here's why..." It's not like she sued the woman for defamation. People love free speech until one person exercises her free speech in order to critique the speech of another. Two way street, folks. Most people in this comment section must think that Rivers is a pretty fragile little flower (haha) to give Derek so much shit for making Rivers explain and defend her style; clearly the woman could handle herself.

By Adam's does Bo mean the Universal Pictures Film "Eve and that Damned Apple" to be shot in New Zealand that got scrapped just week's before Principal photography ? Locations were locked in, sets, production crew , some cat and Universal pulled the plug on Producer-Star Bo Derek as Eve and husband director John.

No doubt with Bo and John would have looked great cinematography wise, as for script comedy-romance who can say but after "Tarzan" at 5 and half million budget made domesticaly 31 million plus more international would have told Universal let the Derek's make "Eve and that Damned Apple" for another 5 million + to gross 3 to 5 times more and Universal pulled the plug just as was to start actual filming. Darn shame. Bo isnt good actress but has elevated with age by time, John stinks as actor-director but photography cinematographer is AWESOME!

I think if there was anybody who was responsible for her reputation as dumb, it was her husband sadly. Her frustration should have been directed at him. He casted and directed her in multiple movies that exploited her sexually and only showcased her physical attributes in kind of a raunchy way. They certainly didnt showcase any acting ability

16 and hubby was 46! talk about robbing the cradle. Her husband had 3 of the most gorgeous wives. Bo went on a trip as a "babysitter" while hubby was on a holiday with his wife Linda Evans, while simultaneously banging the baby sitter. Bo later apologized for her actions to Linda.

No idea why "Bo" did that suddenly....go on the "attack" on then prime time TV....when the idea is to promote her next film or just talk and stay relevant. The point of talk show interviews. I mean, I've watched the Joan Rivers Show.....back in the day....YES, they (her brand of humor) does get annoying "poking fun at celebs...which are based on half-truths" has been done by other comics. Though they do it less....and knowing that was Joan's "schtick"...let it be.....was Bo on weed..."high"?? She was known for being a heavy weed smoker from the time she was 16, skipping school, hanging around on beaches getting high... That aside...she was beautiful for sure an dhad a nice figure....what gets me today is how tiny she actually is. I used to think she was almost 6 fteet tall.....she's actualy only a hiar over 5'1 :)) Yet they marketed her so well back then....used the right camera angles in her films... Odd observation--lot of the biggest stars ar "tiny"---Lady Gaga--just a little over 5'1, Tom Chruise--little over 5'6, Shania Twain -under 5'3.....top porn stars are under 5'3.....shrug.... Actually...if you look at Bo's face "critically" she isn't a "beautiul" a they made her out to be. If you can see past the makeup....e.g. her head chape, "round" forehead...she just had a face "makeup people could work with"....

Joan followed the golden rule in comedy (especially insult comedy): she never punched down. You don't pick on someone in a position of less authority, status, or power than you. Elizabeth Taylor is one of the most famous and most successful entertainers in Hollywood of all time. I'm not saying that means she doesn't have feelings or deserve humanity like anyone else. I'm just saying, she's not being bullied. She's stratospheres above a raunchy, self-deprecating cable tv comedienne, which is why people don't feel badly for laughing along, because they know she's doing just fine regardless of what Rivers jokes about that day. And Rivers knows that too. She knows she's lower on the totem poll and references that fact frequently to poke fun at herself. It's part of the act/context to any jokes she does make at the expense of others. Now the tabloids and their ruthless mockery of Taylor's weight (complete with unflattering paparazzi photos) was a different story. That was malicious and delivered by hack "writers" without a shred of humor.

More than aware of those Dims. I grew up in Madison WI and moved back in the late 90's. A perfect example of a city being destroyed by them. With that being said, Bo is a GOP. Met with President Bush, and probably President Trump, don't know that for a fact. honorary member of the Green Berets. Has her own dog products line that subsidizes animal charities. Was put on the race horse commission by then gov. Schwarzenegger to help protect the horses themselves. So no, Bo is not one of those Hollywood fakes, but is a genuine caring non-liberal person.
