Am I crazy for being insulted that everyone involved is so shocked a woman could do these things?? Gender has nothing to do with it. She is psychotic, period, and that is why she was capable of these crimes. Obviously I don’t condone any of her actions, but let’s not wring our hands like, “how could a WOMAN be so depraved?”. Humans can be this depraved, regardless of gender.

Not crazy. It’s just unusual for a women to act this way. Men not so much. History is full of psychotic murderess women but usually they use poison (or in the case of nurses IV meds, smothering). The thing that is outstanding about Joanna is the physical violent way she carried on. Unfortunately you are 100% correct in your statement that some humans are quite “depraved, regardless of gender”.

There's that show Deadly Women that pisses me off with it's salaciously sexist take on what a woman ought to be like (Doris Day) and how shocking it is when a woman (possibly beautiful, a good housewife, blah blah) turns out to have the unmitigated gall to kill some fucker anyway.

I think Christina Lee was lucky Dennehy wasn't around when she went looking. She would probably have been killed. I pray she found peace with her loss, and that her life is good, she was a victim of Dennehy as well.🙏🌹

truly, no one knows why this woman killed her victims. it looks like it just came out of nowhere. I'm not even sure that she herself knows why she did it. she has antisocial personality disorder. and I think that's all there is to say.

It is very interesting how this film treats one of the few female killers who are equal to men in the way they kill. While for male murderers a deep background is sought for their actions and the cruelty of their crimes is taken as something characteristic of men, when a woman commits a crime in the so-called masculine way, it seems incomprehensible. At the base of such an understanding is ignorance. Perhaps only a small number of animal behaviour researchers know that female mammals are more dangerous than males. However, they rarely fight each other (if they do, it is usually to the death) and, unlike males, they rarely kill irrationally. When they kill the males, mostly to protect the young, they band together to compensate for their inferiority in physical strength. With Homo sapiens it is a little more complicated and it is normal to expect that there are women like Joanna Christine Dennehy who by a combination of intelligence, courage, determination and physical dexterity beyond most men. With some trigger, in her case it might have been alcohol and drugs, such women can, like anyone, go down a detour where their exceptionality makes them unstoppable. I personally know at least five women who are each individually worth more than at least five valid, above-average men, the women who are neither sociopaths nor psychopaths, who could potentially be very dangerous if forced into a situation that induces their minacious side. Joanna Dennehy is an unusual, intelligent and dangerous woman who, unfortunately, took the wrong path and started killing men, but, on the other hand, she never harmed women and children. In any case, it is better and more natural than men killing women, because women are more important to the survival of the species, and we men are just consumables for fertilisation. That she is an extraordinary specimen of the human species is evidenced by Michelle Bowles' statement that she was pleasant and great with children, her guilty plea and mockery of the court, as well as her intention to kill the child killer Rosemary West. Christopher Berry-Dee's claim that Joanna Dennehy would love to kill him is true. That wouldn't be a shame, because he's a writer who makes his living exploiting the worst crimes and criminals.
