Being rich doesn’t do a lot for the drug fuelled or brain dead actors and singers of today, a lot of them have got rich parents.

Joanna Lumley is one of those wonderful people who finds joy in being alive and who appreciates the people she meets and the places she visits (shown in particular during the travel documentaries she frequently does). She is an acknowledged beauty but has never taken that as an accomplishment on her part nor has she become a diva as a result of it. She is, apparently, great fun to work with. And, yes that gorgeous, plummy voice. And … she loves cats and, as s single cat lady myself, I find this a most endearing quality.
