I'm so sad we probably won't get JFAC going back to a sound more like Ruination. The prog psych stuff is cool, but I miss the more frantic, cold and aggro sound of this album. As for this song, that opening fill is legendary. Jon Rice really pushed things on this record without over performing. Everything locked down and intentional.

Saturday night we go for drinks with my girlfriend and her step-sister. She's wearing a beanie and my girlfriend is like "That's like the band or something you have, isn't it?" pointing at the logo on the beanie. At this point I should admit that I have never purchased any of your merch (sorry, I guess?). But, I recognised the Downbeat logo and she explained that her ex-boyfriend ordered it and she stole it from him and kept it, without knowing what it was. Weird, innit?
