I took so many risks in my life. With all ups and downs and it went all in my favor, because I was willing to learn from it. And I thank God that He is showing me the art of standing up again.

This is the most relevant video that I’ve come across explaining the odds that people face between risk taking and establishing security. Very timely for me personally, thank you Dr. Lee! You are a gem

I took the red pill and going through the learning curve. I am becoming a different person... I am living what you are describing. I just tell myself that I walk on a thin line by the hand or god. I pray and calm my mind and just think of going one day a the time. This is my mantra until hopefully, things turn around in my favor at some point.. I only have good faith that things will be on my favor at some point. Like you said, if one doesn't take risk is a bigger lost not to try anything. I could have stayed in my comfy job making peanuts but I choose not.

I am in the same place! Learning tons and growing so much! I pray and trust God everyday and am thankful for what He’s doing with me. Only difference is I left my high paying 9-5… but now I’m doing what I really like to do and what God gave me talent for. It’s exciting 🤠🙌🏻

This is exactly what I needed to hear right now. It’s like KZbin is listening in on me ;). I’ve been laid off two jobs that went through major downsizing. Both jobs felt secure: 5 years and 10 years. I thought I had security. But everyone around me, my boss, people who I thought were untouchable all lost their jobs. So…I just started my own company, making 1/4 of what I earned at my last job. As nervous as I am, I can see how I can get back to that same income again and more through my own business. And as much as I want to just find a job for security, I just need to hang in there. Running my own business is the only way I’ll find that freedom my family and I desire so much. And I’m growing so much more as a person going through this.

Greetings from Taipei, Taiwan! I guess I’m taking the purple pill. My blue pill is my current university teaching. My red pill is the freelance copyediting and English/Spanish teaching business that I’m building up on the side. I’ll reduce my brick-and-mortar teaching soon when I start getting a pension. Then my purple bill will take on a more reddish hue!

The Matrix, ehehehe. Dr. Lee, isn’t freedom having a Job security? That is my question, disregarding the choice that one has to make like the example of the Matrix. 🥰⭐️💎

The Wolf & the House Dog There was once a Wolf who got very little to eat because the Dogs of the village were so wide awake and watchful. He was really nothing but skin and bones, and it made him very downhearted to think of it. One night this Wolf happened to fall in with a fine fat House Dog who had wandered a little too far from home. The Wolf would gladly have eaten him then and there, but the House Dog looked strong enough to leave his marks should he try it. So the Wolf spoke very humbly to the Dog, complimenting him on his fine appearance. "You can be as well-fed as I am if you want to," replied the Dog. "Leave the woods; there you live miserably. Why, you have to fight hard for every bite you get. Follow my example and you will get along beautifully." "What must I do?" asked the Wolf. "Hardly anything," answered the House Dog. "Chase people who carry canes, bark at beggars, and fawn on the people of the house. In return you will get tidbits of every kind, chicken bones, choice bits of meat, sugar, cake, and much more beside, not to speak of kind words and caresses." The Wolf had such a beautiful vision of his coming happiness that he almost wept. But just then he noticed that the hair on the Dog's neck was worn and the skin was chafed. "What is that on your neck?" "Nothing at all," replied the Dog. "What! nothing!" "Oh, just a trifle!" "But please tell me." "Perhaps you see the mark of the collar to which my chain is fastened." "What! A chain!" cried the Wolf. "Don't you go wherever you please?" "Not always! But what's the difference?" replied the Dog. "All the difference in the world! I don't care a rap for your feasts and I wouldn't take all the tender young lambs in the world at that price." And away ran the Wolf to the woods. There is nothing worth so much as liberty
