Some good pointers in this video. During my two decades of consulting, I've noticed that many people believe selling yourself is unnecessary and even hurtful, so they don't focus on learning how to do it. In reality, if you don't routinely "sell yourself", nobody will know about your talents, and they will be wasted. So, Step 0 must be focused towards gaining the awareness that selling your skills is required to be able to be impactful.

I abhor the "self-help" content you see out there today. It's either "woo-woo" or just building somebody's brand. But you, Grace, you are The One.

❤❤ I was in Surfboard business which was a nitch market. Well, I joined a vintage longboard collector club which we get together every month in different locations as Malibu, Newport Beach Torrance. And I sale my surfboards. If, someone see’s my surfboard, today, I say make me an offer. Sometimes I get more some sometimes not. But main idea meet someone and create relationship. Then, they ask can you make me one. Wow, next thing , I have a project. Well, I am an electrician which is my full time job, but hobbie is making surfboards. I love your straight foward videos. Love Frank.. ❤❤❤

Thank you so much again! I was stuck on the 3rd milestone without even noticing. You made me pause for a moment and forced me to look objectively at my experience, my results, and my expertise. I also took a few moments to reflect on how other people interact with me from this branded vision, and it clicked. The branded milestones, I think, give a person a sense of confidence because when you know what you offer to the market, you know a little more of who you are, which I presume is very good for sales.

Personally, I think my take off is on the "Brand". You become a sort of "insurance" you may not be the best, but they trust your judgement in who you get to do it; and they trust that you will take responsibility of any eventuality; they have the assurance that you will give them a good result. I guess that is why most companies ask top celebrities to be their brand; to tap from the assurance they give their fans.

The big thing I took away is “communicating your thought process”. Ideas, yes, expert insight, yes…but how I arrive at those conclusions - I was told never to give that away. But my CTO wants to know…something for me to think about and potentially release.

The work ethics performance is good, but lacking communication verbal skills, and I guess the personal brand that I have created for myself when playing in the social media wether professional and or in entertainment are pretty much what describes me as if I was selling myself. Other than that, is quite interesting to learn about how one has to sell themselves professionally to achieve the next professional goal and the next one, and so on, and so on. I guess the question here is how does one balance the professional social media versus the entertaining social media? When everything thing is right there with a few clicks away! 😺🥰✨💎

Hello Doctor Grace Lee, I am a new subbie, I tried selling products, they were good, but nobody buys whatever I sell, be it online, or the traditional, my place is still very much a good spot but unfortunately nobody buys anything I sell..,,
