It is important to finish the task you started and to make sure that the customers get what they had ordered. The main responsibility of being a chef are to make relationships with employees, customers, and suppliers. Another responsibility is to respect the ingredients you are using. It is dirty work and you work around dangerous sharp things, boiling things, as well as hot and cold temperatures. It is a hard working industry and is important to have a passion to make the sacrifices necessary for becoming a chef. Also being a chef is very rewarding and is not glamourous like many people think. It is also important to have an open mind, love to travel using culinary skills and do well with the adrenaline and intensity. Can be a line chef, private chef, corporate chef, catering chef or an online chef.
