Why would an attorney want to settle so fast and low without filing through the EEOC process? especially if you have really good evidence backing the claim? Is it they just want to get in and get out ?

Can you try to point out or navigate when you give your settlement number demand at mediation what tactics or what percentage lower is a counter offer for example do they usually settle about half of what you ask or counter 90% less for example can you talk more on settlement number tactics

I work for a govt agency, I am the aggrieved, disabled, the issue is my boss did a semi annual review and basically said you dont do as much work b/c your disabled. Then she railraided me for a position because or my disability. Then my case was sent to an Admin Judge. This week we received an order from the AJ to reach a settlement. How often in this case do you think my demands will be met? They arent ridiculous, and fair i think.

I have a case coming up to recover overtime hours and unpaid lunch hours, I have concrete evidence showing they manipulated time records and completely removed any overtime hours. Have you had any cases similar to this? I have them pretty read handed and already sent over a huge folder of evidence showing their fraudulent practices.

Tell them you want 5 million when you really want 500,000 you most likely will get that $500,000 or somewhere around there you give a demand for an amount of money that so big that they will go down to the number that you actually want

Question what if the person helping you just don’t calculate anything just gives someone a number and doesn’t even listen that there more damages then that ? My friend going through so much wants the highest paid settlement cause he knows they did him bad what can he do ??

Damages should be an interactive process. Clients will often try to stick in 30 or 40 additional sources of damages that simply aren't recoverable under the law, but it is the attorney's job to explain why those damages are not recoverable.

I was working for a well known defense contractor in Poland mid 2020. I was complaining of pay and safety issues then was involved in what was the third vehicle accident withing the couple months working there. My acting supervisor was involved in and told me to do the thing that ultimately resulted in the accident. Many safty issues. During the week of the investigation i asked for my medical insurance card that i hadent recieved yet. After the week of investigation i was quickly fired and sent home for loss of confidence in my abilities. Any advice?

Not if you want to file a Federal claim for workplace discrimination or workplace sexual harassment. If you want to file State claims only or other Federal claims, then yes.

They have hired attorney and attorney has asked for the settlement. I want to be in the job. Can I make this offer? The performance hearing outcome can be dismissal which is worrying

What if my employer and I reached an agreement and my lawer isn’t responding do I still need my lawer that i hired on contingency bases. And would I have to pay him for the work he is done?

I would think you would need that attorney to handle the settlement agreement, but if the attorney is ghosting you then you may want to discuss a fee dispute. If they are not responsive to you, an argument could be made that they did not earn their contingent percentage.

It’s been over two weeks and i have not had a response. The only work he had done to the best of my knowledge is the filing of the lawsuit the last message from him was “now we wait”. My employer is asking me to drop the case. I was told consequences will come if I don't drop the settlement. I have the entire conversation recorded on audio. Is that something they can ask me to do? My neighbor has a KZbin video circulating about how Homeland security did several violations and are wanting to settle because hes now posting videos. Their supervisors lied and he caught their eeo investigator on video taunting him about altering his statement resulting. They erased the evidence from the federal portal but my neighbor printed it out and used it to destroyed them in his rebuttals. The basis of the claims were all accepted by the way due to the evidence. Theyve even had people show up at his house and want to settle this. I told him to call you. Theyve asked repeatedly for him to settle but i told him to get representation. Can he call you? Weve been reaching out for 3 weeks since they granted him a hearing. Homeland security it trying to keep this out of court. Can you help him? The video has over 6000 views amd counting
