Yes. This was the first computerized Disney movie. It has the feel of Hanna/Barbara though and is NOT what people expected from Disney. Still, the story was so charming and entertaining that it was overlooked. Even if it was the end of their animation dept for nearly 25yrs. Only a few animated ones were made and by mid 70's the studio was floundering and kept alive by it's amusement parks and merch.

You can see from Cruella spending all of two minutes in the house why Roger loathes her: not merely because she's focused on the puppies in a weird obsessional way, but because she is so incredibly offensive and rude to his wife. It's probably not Cruella's first visit, and it's implied that she and Roger hated each other at first sight - she because this bohemian artist unimpressed by her wealth and status, and Roger because of the crude casualness with which Anita's alleged friend treats her (slamming doors, filling her house with smoke, dissing Anita's home and marriage, rubbing Anita's lesser means in her face, and ruining her tea for two, an unforgivable sin in a British household.:) So we have that tightknit little gem of a scene that nails the villain's intro scene, sets up her feud with the Radcliffes, and underscores Roger and Anita's mutual devotion in contrast to Cruella's self-centredness (Anita supports Roger's songwriting, Roger uses his music to make Anita laugh after Cruella stressed her out). Well done, 1961 writers, well done.
