+Leticia Jaure He may have been gay in his past life for all we know but he clearly wasn't black. His burned hand was clearly a white hand, just burned. And the "soldier" that captured Evey had that same look. Not to mention in the last of Evey's days of interrogation, the silhouette of the guard at the door looked like Hugo Weaving. And lastly, we do sometimes see the underside of Hugo's chin in some scenes. So the character was probably white, if only because the actor was and you happen to sometimes catch a glimpse of it. Now I wouldn't put it past V to constantly wear tons of make-up... but it feels like that may be a bit inconvenient.
@noconaroubideaux94235 жыл бұрын
Some characters don't need a 'face' to be interesting characters. You find it more in horror movies like Jason and Michael Myers in Friday the 13th and Halloween respectively. Those characters are, themselves, more so ideas than people, as it were. Hugo Weaving didn't need to show his face because he is a great enough actor to convey the idea through body language and action. He could've been silent through the film and it still would've worked imo.

Even more obscure, V quotes Macbeth, and in Act 3, Scene 2 Macbeth calls for night to come to hide his impending murder of Banquo. Macbeth observes that night is falling by pointing out that "the crow makes wing to the rooky wood." The alter ego, Rookwood, meets with the men who work in daylight to bring to light dark deeds, and he promises to soon help them, which lulls them into complacency. However night will soon fall, and when it does, V's truest self will deal much death. As Macbeth says in that same scene: "Good things of day begin to droop and drowse; Whiles night’s black agents to their preys do rouse."

The cruelty, the tortures, the larkhill footage, the secret behing v and his idenity, the script, the lines, the acting, the dark side of politics everything is truly impeccable about the film The whole darkness and violence and how its shot is one outstanding thing about this movie. The shot where V is standing in the fire right after the larkhill explosion on 5th of july with the doctor's narrative on backround saying ,,and he looked at me but not with his eyes, there were no eyes'' as V was standing in fire and screaming. That shot has to be one of the most frightening, hauting, chilling and well-made shots in the film industry. Either way the whole V character was incredibly well-portrayed and well-played. Hugo Weaving gave an oustanding performance. The character was so iconic...the mask, the intelligence, the vengence, the vocabulary even. What a masterpiece of a movie.

Just here to say, I recall watching this film in theaters as a lad and it still grips me. For all the spectacle and effects and budgets Marvel and DC are throwing on screen these days, there's something about these pre-MCU comic book films (Blade, The X-Men, V for Vendetta, 300, etc) that just feels so much more authentic to their roots. Everything is so formulated and sanitized now, they're soulless.
@ladywaffle2210 Жыл бұрын
Because the MCU learned all the wrong lessons from these movies. Take this movie, for example. What did we learn from it? That you don't need a face to have a good character; that verbiage most verbose can make some damn compelling lines; that a sacrifice to eliminate the threat is compelling. What did Marvel learn from it? That masked characters are cool; that quippy one-liners are cool; that a sacrifice to eliminate the threat earns you redemption for your sins. I'll draw the parallel between V and Iron Man, as its the easiest. V and Iron Man are both masked badasses with great lines. The difference is this: V is consistently a well-intentioned extremist that you can't help but root for even as he commits massive acts of terrorism. He never is redeemed for the terrorism he commits, though; in fact, it ultimately winds up killing him. It's a noble sacrifice to kill a fascist pig, sure, but ultimately it's something he was going to do no matter who Creedy was personally, be he a snake or an angel. Iron Man started as a businessman selling weapons. This fucked him over and you only root for Iron Man because now he's working for the Good Guys against the Bad Guys. He's a lovable character, sure, with nice quips and whatnot, but instead of staying true to what superheroes actually are--instead of being the Ultimate Firefighter--Iron Man becomes the ultimate cop, and his redemption is to save half the world by sacrificing himself as atonement for his past sins that he's already been redeemed for a thousand times over, but Marvel can only redeem someone in death for some fucking reason.

I honestly believe we are simply living through a rerun of previous events. It is said that life repeats itself and I do believe this has been done before. V for vendetta is not predicting the future but simply recounting the past. Of course very few of us would remember these events as most of us were not born then. And if you aren't convinced then consider how long humans have had to learn about viruses and consider how many pandemics have already happened in the last century, from ebola to swine flu to the Spanish influenza. These are likely all the results of experiments, which in fact went completely according to plan, its simply they are testing the effects of genetic manipulation and how it translates to viral effects. I believe coronavirus has almost perfected what they are looking for. Something which doesn't kill too much but spreads immensely. Because the goal isn't death but fear.

***** The problem in the movie is that represent V as the man tha frees everyone. However the comic book in the end leave the choice of freedom to the people! In the comic book V was an anarchist and tried to give people an opportunity to change the world by providing the truth and destroy the old system. You have to understand that if people dont move noone will ever save humanity. People need to beleive in their own power and take control of their lives. They have to offer in the society and give time to the commons. We do not trully need a V or a superman or some magic. We need to be fully responsible for our own lives and change it!

A report by The Rebecca Project for Human Rights states that Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Pfizer, Planned Parenthood, USAID and the UN contributed to a 4 billion contraceptive campaign using the vaccine Depo-Provera (DMPA). The Guttmacher Institute states that a 2yr study of over 5,000 woman receiving injections at Planned Parenthood of Rocky Mountains reported “of the initial 5,178 women who received an initial injection, only 57% returned for a second administration. Another third dropped out after the 2nd shot. Reasons for not returning? “Difficultly tolerating side effects”. FDA labelling and/or reported in studies: “Loss of bone mineral density, may lose significant bone density” “Cardiovascular events - syncope, tachycardia, thrombophlebitis, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolus - which can lead to cardiac arrest and stroke. Do not re administer if sudden, partial or complete loss of vision” Breast and cervical cancer - Hormone sensitive breast cancers occur twice as often in woman under 35 who have used DMPA in the previous four years. Ectopic pregnancy - increased risk of life threatening ectopic pregnancy. The Gates Foundation have given millions to PATH, who conducted large scale clinical trials in Africa and South Asia. According to Vera Sharav who is part of Alliance for Research Protection, in 2010 PATH administered the HPV vaccine was given to 23,000 girls between 10-14yrs old to guard against cervical cancers as part of a “demonstrational study”. 7 adolescent tribal girls died after receiving the vaccine. 1,200 girls experienced extreme side effects of developed auto-immense disorders, according to Indian Physicians who state no follow up examinations or medical care were offered to the victims. Further investigations revealed persuasive violations of ethical norms: vulnerable village girls were virtually press-ganged into the trials, their parents bullied into signing consent forms they couldn’t read by PATH representatives, who made false claims about safety and efficacy of the drugs. Many signatures were formed. An Indian Parliamentary Committee determined the Gates-funded vaccine campaign was in fact a large scale clinical trial conducted on behalf of the pharmaceutical firms and disguised as an “observational study” in order to outflank statutory requirements. The committee found that PATH had “violated all les and regulations laid down for trials by the government in a clear-cut violation of human rights and a case of child abuse”. www.newdemocracyworld.org/culture/gates.html m.economictimes.com/industry/healthcare/biotech/healthcare/controversial-vaccine-studies-why-is-bill-melinda-gates-foundation-under-fire-from-critics-in-india/articleshow/41280050.cms

Trump? Really dude. Here's a bit of knowledge I'm going to lay down on you. Trump got censored hard. Dictators don't get censored. Dictators do the censoring. The crooks in office right now say "Antifa isn't real" or "Antifa is just an idea." They cover for them because Antifa is to them what the brown shirts were to Hitler. You want to know what else Hitler did? He bought out the media and made them spread lies about his political opponents. Here's a great example. The 6th. This is a video someone was able to capture. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJi4h5d6r7BniJY Someone inside the building was handing bats out to people in black masks and goggles through a window. This isn't how Trump supporters dress. That's how Antifa dresses. And people on the inside were arming them. Wake up. You dumb asses are being lied to. Trump had his flaws, but he wasn't the bad guy. The bad guys are the politicians who've been in power for decades and laundering our tax money. They and other world leaders colluded with China and had Covid created as their tool to usher in their "Great Reset" globalist agenda.
@sarcasmenul3 жыл бұрын
@@igetboredproductions lol a suspended twitter account and mocking trump’s ridiculous claims and hundreds of lies does not equate censorship. I also love your unfounded claim that government officials said that antifa is not a threat when it’s listed as a domestic threat. Why you lying? If The 6th was an antifa plot then why did trump call them fans and supporters? Is trump part of antifa? That would explain his moronic behavior lol. You also claim that trump is not the bad guy and does not steal money yet he’s been backed by banks for literal decades and ripped off thousands. Was the American media biased against trump? Yes, one side was, yet republican media constantly shat on Obama when he was in office because he’s black. Again you lie and lie because the truth is inconvenient. You missed the entire point of this movie and you try to twist its message so it’s edges don’t hurt your rigid worldview of good vs evil.
@igetboredproductions3 жыл бұрын
@@sarcasmenul This goes beyond suspended Twitter and Facebook accounts. The media would cut his speeches off and cherry pick. Let's not forget the HCQ incident. He came out very early in and said that HCQ can be used to effectively fight covid. That speech got taken down and buried and officials insisted it was dangerous to use HCQ. It's recently started getting out that Trump was right about HCQ. And to think they spent all that time blaming Trump for the deaths when he had a cure very early in that would probably have prevented most of them had the establishment not censored it. Antifa is listed as a terror organization because Trump had them listed as one. Biden himself at the debates said "Antifa is just an idea." Kamala Harris told them not to let up and donated to their bailouts. Maxine Waters has been nothing but an Antifa bullhorn since last summer. Pelosi personally made sure that there was no security at the capitol on the 6th. There is reason to believe that she's the one giving them orders while Soros is the one who hires them. And the media didn't shit on Obama because he was black. They shat on him because he was fucking shit. His "affordable" healthcare plan was one of the reasons I grew up in a fucking hovel. A hovel that I pulled myself out of in Trump's economy. And make no mistake, I don't favor republicans any more than the dems. I've got plenty to say about war mongering Bush and Cheny, who both should have been put to the electric chair years ago. People at some point seem to have forgotten that politicians have a tendency of being corrupt. Someone who wasn't a politician stepped up and called them out on their bullshit and the whole establishment went for his throat. I side with Trump because I got results under him. I'm sick of the establishment. I'm sick of the inflations they cause on everything and their endless wars. Biden said he wants to go green by 2030, and how he wants to limit how much meat we eat by 2030. And of course liberals are too stupid to notice how convenient it is that a pipeline and the world's largest meat provider both got hacked by hired hacker groups within a month of each other.

Something that I don't think is mentioned enough about this scene is the score. The almost understated melody, the tension, the vague accompanying noise to the terror which may or may not be true. To put it into musical terms, the 'resolutions' of the harmony are fairly obvious given some thought. And to me, that intentionally matches the scene. "Give this some thought" God I love this film

World is always led by bunch of assholes, which we are supposed to look up to. There always is something after us and they always come out with an aid or cure or stupid catch phrase. There always is some sort of reason to monitor us closer and eventually situations like in V will become neolithic memory due to society being run by an mechanism, actual autonomous algorithm. Back in 1980s when Moore authored the comic, cold war was on and started to get new directions from technology based surveillance. AIDS came out from nowehere and started to spread horror. Nothing seems to have changed and things are like they were before that too. The only thing changing is the way how people react to the current status quo, which is exactly what Moore made V to try to do.

@PaulGoux3 жыл бұрын
