Kid was entitled. He thought he could just walk into the club without earning his spot. And when Johnny tested him he showed how selfish he was and had no respect for the idea of brotherhood. That scene demonstrates an example of where the the age of real men was destroyed by the era of punks and wannabe gangsters. And sure it would've been nice to see Benny or one of the other boys avenge his murder, but this is a story supposedly based on real life, and in real life, things don't always end like they do in the movies. Sometimes the bad guys and the assholes win.

You need Jesus brother. The man had honor. He didn’t want to kill the kid, he showed mercy, that is a grown man! Jesus shows mercy! A lot of “big man” killers gonna be burning in hell wishing they would have shown mercy and wishing they could tell those alive to choose Jesus and show mercy… That’s the difference between boys and men… Jesus was the realest man that ever lived! He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end! Learn from Him. I pray this generation repents and chooses Jesus. And that is what real men do and trust me God will take Vengeance and can dish it out way better than any man can.

It was about man’s natural instinct. The joy of being free and masculine without wanting the harm to come to others unless they stepped out of line. Even then there were rules and codes they lived by. It wasn’t a movie about a Motorcycle gang, but a motorcycle club. It was to represent the ending to man’s life that thought that chaos could be controlled and stay a “healthy fun”. Ya know the “we ain’t hurting nobody”, but the realization that in wanting a lack of rules and freedom you open yourself up to true chaos and crime. It’s one’s man story. But a story that is true and solid to Everyman. If you didn’t like the acting, fine. But to say the story and movie was shit because your lack of self awareness as a man and inner searching for self-worth, that’s just lame. It’s a good story. Don’t think it was ever meant to be a blockbuster.
@gregsoto477729 күн бұрын
It was not the acting or the premise of the story. I think the story in itself was very good. The acting is a direct reflection of the screenplay. The best story in the world can be completely destroyed by a terrible screenplay. It was the screenplay itself. Examples of this is one of the characters Benny. He was quick to defend his brothers yet did nothing when seeing his leader gunned down. Totally out of character. He would have retaliated immediately. They could have had Benny get injured during that scene. Then to have him quit riding after Johny’s death to live a life of feeling completely entrapped. As a bike rider I can tell you that Benny would not have quit riding. He would have continued to ride unless physically unable. A better ending for him would have been him riding solo maybe on the leaders bike reflecting with flashbacks on the leaders words. To have Benny completely defeated and regretting his life choice of quitting was actually a sad and unbelievable portrayal of a true bike rider thus the bad reviews.

Well said. Indeed, the generation of men that did not wear badges of honor for being superior or stand out by dominating society. It was a generation of men that gathered themselves around a common passion. To be free, live as they have chosen a life of vice, vicarious and reckless. Men that did not conform to the expectations of society. This gave them a feeling of "belonging" being "needed" and feeling like you are a part of a group and in that group, you are respected. The story was necessary like many other stories of changes of generations of people, the beliefs, goals and aspirations. Some men just want to party, get drunk, get stoned, slobber and howl at the moon. In essence, live a free and primal life. When he killed Johnny all that ended. It became reality. like a star collapsing into itself and becoming negative, a black hole of vice, and crime. That man at the top, the one that runs the show. Now he has to live in the chaos and destruction that comes with the aftermath of life choices. Brilliant comment. I felt like speaking on it.

You don't want to be reminded whenever someone has a problem they use violence to solve their problems. If you comprehend the scene well you know that that's why that kid shot Tom Hardy was because Tom Hardy disrespected the kid and he shot him. Remember he was the same kid who told Tom Hardy hey check out our bikes... Think about all of the articles out there news wise about how teenagers youngest 14 are being charged with violent crimes.. Most of the time these crimes are caused by people because of misunderstandings or disputes.. When you use violence to solve your problems you're just making the world more ugly that's the lesson here.

Everyone is quick to blame the kids for changing the game(which is inevitable in all things in life), but the real violence, organisation ect of the bikie community started to really come to power as people came back from the war in Vietnam especially. I could be wrong, I don’t follow Hells Angels, but from memory that’s how they started out and now they’re one of the big 3. Atleast definitely still in top 5 these days. You got killers who come home from doing their duty to their country n following orders but arriving home, became hated and shunned from their community’s. A lot of them chose to become outlaws coz they didn’t feel welcome or that they belonged. It’s getting worse and worse, especially now that the shooter is more idolised then the money maker to the youth. It’s all backwards. Just the way it goes but I guess.
