One of the small things I love about this movie is Sam Rockwell's costume. If you look, it isn't as well made as the main characters of the show. Either because he was just an extra and they didn't bother giving him a full on suit or because he didn't get to keep his wardrobe and it is homemade/bought online. Either way, it adds to the character.

This scene is pretty critical to making it a good spoof: Jason and Alex might be parodies of Shatner and Stewart, but they ultimately love their fans. And that continues with the rest of the movie, Galaxy Quest doesn't sneer at Star Trek's faults. If anything it loves those faults
