As a result it is normally the more military/combat cast member which the Security Chief is the one most fit for that role. It also matches because Guy literally proposes the exact heroic suicide mission that one of the main casts would die doing (its even in the video)

Up to this point he's already had a nervous breakdown, but he sought comfort from Gwen when they were in the shuttle... so for her to turn around and say something is going to kill him, that is the moment where he shattered, and you can see it on his face and in his body language. Just saw Aliens for the first time (am insanely obsessed with the first movie, IMO Aliens is very good but doesn't compare... Gwen is a complete departure from Ripley but Sigourney proves herself a hysterically funny comedic actress) and I 100% see that. But IMO Sam is even better. Bill Paxton walked so Sam Rockwell could Olympic sprint.
