i have a problem when i create user in the active directory, and want to connect the DC . Even after change the IPv4 address still getting the same error as your on this time stamp 39:07 it not accepting the domain name. Can you or someone guide me through this error.

When i go to system and get into computer name/ domain changes and where it says member of at the bottom it will not allow me to select Domain.

What is your network settings on win10 Is it NAT, host only, or anything else??? I tried the same still not able to connect to domain

Bridge all should have Bridge mode where it can get IP from your home router

Do Ipconfig on your main machine, do the same for all VMs and see if they all match same network, If this all done, then go to client machine and make sure it points to the DNS of the Domain server IP. If this is done, go to client Network Adaptor settings and uncheck ipv6

90 days they let you use it without restrictions but after that they still allow you with some restrictions. You might want to research more on the restrictions. 90 days no issues

I changed the configuration setting in the DNS but still having problems connect to the domain.

Then once I get the option to enter the user name and password I get another error. The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. Have had no issues till then. Everything has been working properly.

@@lindaosguthorpe717 Confirm if you have used the correct ip address in the dns settings. In your client machine dns settings you need to use the IP of your new DC. If dns ip is correct then turn off the ipv6 option from you network adapter settings and try again.

I had the some problem changed the password for my helpdesk account and moved the Helpdesk in AD to Users restarted my AD and Helpdesk win10.

Unless you download bad files you should be good fo labbing - Delete your lab or shut it down when you're not using it.
