The JOBY Motion app is a one-stop-shop for filming content with our motion control products. So whilst you can’t currently use 3rd party filming apps, you can export your content for editing after it’s been captured. Hope that helps!

I'm sure you guys have put a lot of effort into the app but most of us already use dedicated apps for timelapse etc which support features like Prores and Log recording, so as others have asked, can we use this with other apps?

One question, is it possible to record with the vertical mobile? Yotra, can you record by putting the mobile subject to a cage, with an articulated arm? or it would weigh a lot, for the motor of movement, thank you very much.

Is there a plan to add more setting options for more professional use? video format, exposure, white balance and focus... Overall the product is great but these features are what makes the different between a armature and professional videos

Can you connect 2 spins and 1 swing to create a fully motorized rig for timelapse?

You may use the Spin & Swing devices for simultaneous content capture if you have two different smartphones (one paired to each device), but it is not advisable to connect the Spin & Swing together physically due to payload limitations

looks great, but the payload only 600g, only a smart phone or a 1'inch digital camera could hold...would be perfect if there are another high capacity version for mirror-less camera weight around 1.5kg ;)
