In life you pass many people that come in and out. Once in a while you get lucky enough to find someone that is a gift, Jocko is a gift. Not only is the man a decorated navy seal but a beast on every level. We have the opportunity to listen and learn from a modern day Spartan warrior, father husband and total bad ass. I am lucky to call him a friend through Twitter he has responded to my qeustions taken time to like comments and spend hours upon hours to help random people that he does not even know. How does this happen in a world filled with so much hate stress and uncertainty that you get a light a flashlight that literally put you back on track ready to tackle the world and win. Thank you jocko and echo. This is the best podcast on the internet I love it. Should be mandatory for everyone man women and child older than 16!

M M I think he’s aware that part of the reason he came back in one piece is luck. He’s also reminded daily that some of his friends literally got killed, so his outlook on life is so great full and humble. He’s just a quality guy, being around him must be so inspiring and a constant learning experience

After studying Boyd and Willink, I have personally modified the Boyd cycle. I added Detach at the beginning of OODA. I find that for me even though I use the OODA loop daily in medical practice, I have noticed that during stressful emergency cases, if I remember to Detach I get ahead of my own brain's timing if you will and allows me to defeat the enemy of stress, and can apply the Observe, Orient Decide and Act profile for the best outcome for my patient. Just thought I share that concept with those watching.

Wow! I'm here in 2020, corona virus pandemic, hearing to the podcast, and Jocko was talking about the communication and instructions to the troopers in case of the zombie apocalypse... Or some pandemic all around the world... 😳😳😳 Kinda dope!!!

Here's a review if you're new to the echo & Jocko show! I'm 1 of those people that starts strong and fades fast too. I don't finish things, I don't commit, I'm lazy, selfish & self-centered. Then saw the guys on fox news, jocko on tim ferriss& joe rogan I bought the book and love podcast. Somehow, some way jocko has this "thing" about him: I believe him when he says I can do it. whatever "it" I'm struggling with, that "thing" he has, gives me self-confidence that I won't quit this time, I won't be lazy today snd if I fall down GET BACK UP AGAIN! He MOTIVATES me, and nothing or no one has EVER done that for me. Its Jocko's Superpower :) I feel like a total Jocko dork for sayin all this but it's true. So if anyone out there is searching...well the Lord has led u to the right place honey! Listen to the Jocko podcast & be a dorky Trooper like me. It'll change yer life! BOOM. Love yall!

Echo Charles is that guy who bats .280 and hits for power. He is really in the zone when he gives marital insight. Totally universal insights (that might get him in trouble with the boss). Anywhoo, Jocko is the Joe Madden type manager who gives his players cover until they come out of a slump. Extending confidence in your boys is empowering. Boom! Echo Charles drives another runner across the plate. Echo Charles lets the game come to him.

Woah that was uncanny. When Ecko and Jocko were talking on disarming emotional people the fact a lot of what Jocko talks on mirrors the book "How to Win Friends And Influence People", the saying "you catch more flies with a teaspoon of honey than a gallon of gall" came to mind. Not two minutes later do they start talking on a variation of that same phrase.
