@ Echo Romeo Until more Americans see what it really is like for many people around the world, I am afraid they will never have the appreciation of someone who has endured a world where Freedom does not exist. It saddens me to think what most go through someone such as Dragos head when he sees the way some Americans act toward this Country. Most citizens should feel ashamed at the fact that while they are disrespecting this country there’s millions of people all around the world who don’t understand how they cannot see just how blessed they really are.

It’s because of men like this that fighting is worth it to me. This country gave me everything I have, and not just that, but it gives so much to everyone who comes here. To give thanks and to protect that for my brothers and sisters I am willing to lay down my life and fight, even for the liberal hippies around me who are in a constant anti-American mindset. National guard enlists until 35. Most branches enlist until 28 years old. Depending on how smart you are, you can enlist until 35, if you're going into intelligence or something noncombat. If you want the most bang for your buck, I recommend going Army and trying for the warrant officer program. Get officer level pay but no need for a college degree. There are limited jobs though. Mostly helicopter jobs, either pilot or door gunner type stuff. Regardless, eventually transition into national guard. Then you can get a civilian job. I recommend trying to get a state government job, you'll get preference as a veteran, and after working your state government job for 20 years you'll get a state pension. If you stay in the national guard the entire time you'll qualify for federal pension too. Double dip those pensions man. Welcome to the US. Glad to have you =)

@@fighisver This. The amount of different movements calling eachother "socialism" for whatever reason, yet differing in their methods, has been quite large, if you consider the entire globe. The term has a definition, yet the outcomes seem to be very different. It's kind of a demonized word like 'fascism': The average person has only a vague idea of its meaning beyond "bad". Historical features of marxist movements, its' use as it relates to social democracy, what about China? All just a blur, but it's bad. @@spluker88 Its true. And its scarier than the ordinance. I still think of the ocean as "the cold black"; because I almost got washed off an elevator of an aircraft carrier at night.
