I'm not really sure if you still read these comments but I was wondering if you could release more videos about these chapters going in depth into certain aspects. Because when I get quizzes, it asks specific questions about cartoons, quotes, and terms that were used by people back in that time period and historians. I like that all of your videos give a general idea of the chapter, but it would be more helpful if they could go a little more in depth.

I'm not sure if this is true, but one of my elementary teachers told me that sometimes slaves that were able to buy their freedom, got their money robed and were forced to continue to work as slaves. Also that sometimes they were really released but recaptured and sold into slavery again. The first one I said sounds reasonable, but I'm not sure about the second one, can you please answer my question?
@JoczProductions10 жыл бұрын
Both are unfortunately true. There are even examples of some free African Americans in the north being captured and forced into slavery. Check out the movie- 12 Years of Slave.

Why were abolitionists so unpopular at this time?
@paytonbergman59185 жыл бұрын
They were disliked in the south because people in the south promoted slavery and abolitionists wanted to end slavery
