Lol why everybody making it seem like DeVante said something so cruel? First off, this is the MUSIC industry, people are going to throw shade whether anybody likes or not. Secondly, it's his opinion and obviously he's going to assume (if he was talking about Shai) that this particular group is trying to be like them because of some of the similar wardrobe, looks & vocals. My goodness people.. There were plenty of artist who threw even more shade at other artists in this business, Prince, Patti & Mariah Carey for example. He didn't say anything crazy, Shai still survived after this, so please save it. Jodeci is legendary, there will never be another and Shai will always be one of the most outstanding groups from the 90s. Both are AMAZING groups! Move along!

As far as DeVante dating someone else at the time goes, I couldn't tell because it seem as though she wasn't seen or known of. Furthermore, I do believe that DeVante was and probably still is a "Playa." He (DeVante) was/is very gifted no doubt about that. If DeVante was truly seeing and dating someone (seriously) back then and Coko knew he had a girlfriend, then yes, in fact she is definitely wrong for wanting to get with him. However, if not then, Coko was just probably having "wishful thinking" (which is harmless) of wanting and hoping to get with DeVante verses actually being his girl. Overall, I totally understand where you are coming from and somewhat agree and disagree with your sentiments. No harm/malice intended on my end.🤔🤗💯

Shai was a great group, they didn't deserve to get dissed here. Darnell had his own voice, he wasn't trying to be like JoJo, hell he may have had more range than Jo. Jodeci are legends but Shai was great too! DeVante dissed Silk hard too, which was completely wrong!

Let’s all be real here both Davante & Dalvin aren’t singers they both the eye candy of Jodeci ..they both the harmony of the group hence back up .. I know this for a fact because I was just at one of those shows that I always speculated, but when I got to see it first hand for sure Casey and JoJo are main singers of that band. The show I saw didn’t have Jo Jo even there and KC basically held that whole show. I mean it was clear that Devante didn’t wanna be there at all and Dalvin did his best but really it was all KC. (and I was in love with Devante just like the rest of these girls in the 90’s.. but is what it is 🤷🏼‍♀️)
