SUCH a valuable lesson this! Thank you, Jodie. This has given me some direction. I all into expressionistic flounderism at the moment...

Great info and demo. I like your approach to painting (e.g., painting with tools over which we don’t have full control) and am glad I found your channel.

You can fix that dent by dampening the canvas at the back in that area - then it will shrink and straighten again.

I was looking at Chip brushes for a alternative to all my softer brushes. Do you use these in your abstract art ? I love your palette of browns and blues together with your pop of orange.

Hi Jodie…really needed this video as a “new” abstract student from all manner of creative backgrounds. You were very clear in your explanations of the tools, and I will use all of them for sure! However! Did you just “create” the bed head brush or is there such a thing on the retail shelf?!

Does anyone know where to buy a "bed head brush"? Or what it is called etc
@tuahabadar3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much, I have been stuck for a while now on a couple of my paintings. And this video is full of great tips and humour. It is just what I needed. :)

Terrific demo; thanks for sharing. (Must admit I’m a little bummed that none of my old brushes have ever achieved your bed head quality. Time to give ‘em a nudge!)

They will definitely get there eventually! Thanks for watching!

What kind of paints do you favor? Did I see you use a jug of Nova paint? :)

Don't throw a brush (or a person) out because they are not SHINEY& NEW. interesting people are not perfect

So you just make those bed head brushes?? Too cool, l can’t wait to find out, put something on the brush and squish it around the canvas… pull the brushes out by hand, go outside and smush.then on concrete 😂👌🏼or 👎
