I am listening to you podcast now a days. I am a textile artist, I use upcycled fabrics and textiles, and traditional Indian block printing table lining cloth as my base surface. I use hand stitching and hand embroidery and different surfaces texture techniques with fabric manipulations to create my art. I loved the vibe and bold way that you paint. I am going to see how can I use such approach to my textile art practice. Thank you🫠

Shop towels! How cool is that? Typically, I'm not a fan of drips that are just left on a painting. I love when you spray the painting and then put the paper towel over the drips and pull it away to reveal colors underneath.

@@JodieKingArt You as well.My art is more graphic abstract. Less landscapy than yours. Everyone has their voice. Yours is beautiful and so natural. Effortless. natural talent. I just started posting on tik tok. #Shawndoes123. IG shawncollins141 I think. Any chance you are married to Greg King? Old friend here in San Luis Obispo county California. Cheers

I love your videos, your painting techniques are great. Your very positive personality and presence also make your videos enjoyable and not painstakingly "technical" like many other videos. I must admit I have "stole" (borrowed) some of your techniques for my own work. I always look forward to your videos.

I'm enamored. Never really gave much creedence to abstract art but am totally enthralled with your creations and now, your technique. So.... following you for easy, light hearted approach to art and life ( and via Emily Aarons). And, I'm a frustrated artist... I must ask please.... what became the name of this painting? How did it evolve after this video?... curious to know the rest of the process for this one.

Hello Jodie, I am a new subbie and I was trying to use the link to your favorite tools but I was twice directed to a security page that stated I was being hacked and there was a data breach and that I should call a tel number attached to that page. On further inspection and just before I was actually going to give the foreigner on the other line my Mac info, my husband and I decided that it was a hoax. I'm not sure if this was just directed to me or if there may be others who were similarly affected, but I just wanted you to be aware of the corruption of that link. On another note as a new subscriber I look forward to learning a lot of interesting things as I peruse your channel.
