Joe has lost a fair share of his acuity over the last few years. He doesn’t seem nearly as sharp and energetic now as he did 8-12 years ago. It reminds me of Reagan back in ‘80 compared to Reagan at the end of his second term. Two very different men. I hope Joe’s just aging and not dealing with something more serious. I wouldn’t wish Alzheimer’s on my greatest enemy.

Ryan got what he wanted via the election of Trump and his embrace of the GOP that stacked 2/3rds of the government in favor of his agenda. But then Ryan saw the flaws in his party's ideology; so he quits before the people had a chance to watch him spend the rest of his political career explaining why his policies failed. Romney has also seen the error of his ideology. But the damage is already done. And it's too late to apologize. I'm just glad that they are no longer openly advocating against the best interests of the American people while simultaneously being the party first power players and usurpers of this Republic and our geopolitical alliances. We need a strong government; not a government of gang members who just likes to look superior over other Americans and minorities and developing nations.

Yes I do vote, Ken. I usually keep my views private and vote for a candidate that will best serve my community and my personal needs as a middle class citizen. Usually for President I vote for the most pragmatic candidate(Because working together and leading a unified nation is important) or a 3rd party if the main guys. Generally the problems the campaigns focus on are issues that matter to voters in Ohio, Florida, Colorado, Pennsylvania, and etc. If you are not a swing state voter then they pretty much do not care about your state.

I had to LOL at Ryan's comment saying Canadians dropped the tax rate down to 15% @ 46:31 into the debate. What he fails to mention is that was dropped for the middle and lower classes. Also, that is the federal taxes and does not include provincial taxes. He conveniently left that part out. ;) "The 2012 federal tax brackets, common to all Canadian individual taxpayers regardless of province, begin at 15% for the first $42,707 of income and go up to 29% once income is over $132,406. These income levels are for taxable income after all deductions have been claimed."

Age and depression does that to some people. He had so much tragedy in his personal life. His first wife and daughter died in a car accident when he was still a young senator in 1972. Then, he lost Beau in 2015. Commentators have noticed the loss of Beau is the one that’s really affected him the most. It’s a mystery how a man like that can still keep going.
