In retrospect he was a very strong debater, contrary to how he currently performs were he comes across as a decrypted, infirm old man in the early stages of dementia. It's weird looking back at how Biden's changed from then to now... The media makes a huge deal about his stuttering now but he's always stuttered and stumbled while talking... he's definitely a lot quicker here mentally than he is now, but I think his stuttering makes things seem a lot worse than they actually are.

This is my absolute favorite Vice-presidental debate. Biden and Ryan both were cordial and respectful to each other. They both gave good answers to the questions. This is how political debates should be.

I think about my aging daily and I'm "only" 37. Even when I was younger, I'd think about it. Having 3 children now, it makes you become fully aware of your age, the bad choices you have made/keep making, and the limits of your own body.

Came to watch this after I kept hearing about how Biden destroyed Ryan in this debate. But wasn’t the bloodbath everyone described. Ryan did a great job and Biden just countered by saying everything that he said was a lie. I hate when they make that claim and then don’t tell why it was a lie. He would say “that’s not true” and then delve into his policy instead countering the statements provided by Ryan. The one thing that was completely obvious is looking back now in 2020 on this debate, everything Biden said they would do, pretty much never got done. But was a much better debate to watch than what we saw last night. I was frustrated and annoyed by Trumps interrupting, but after rewatching the debate, it was his only option as Wallace kept trying to change topics before letting him respond. Regardless of what your party is I think everyone can agree that Wallace was horrible!
