IMO this is one of Joe B’s BEST performances - both vocally and with the guitar 🎸! IDK why there aren’t more views or comments on it 🤔. To me it’s 👏 🌟 , and going on 70 now, I’ve been a huge fan of him for years. In fact I think his vocals have improved a LOT since he got a vocal coach!

In the realm of electric blues, it can't possibly get better than this. I've been playing guitar for 30 years and listened to everyone that matters and can safely say no one packs such an emotive punch with a guitar as JB. The nuanced dynamics in his playing are unreal and he does it in a live setting, with consistency, night after night. No one, I mean no one, does it better.

Yeah…he’s one of the best, if not best, playing today. Jimmy Page is still my fave, but Joe does have it over Jimmy in consistency. Emotive power I’m not so sure. And I know you narrowed the parameter to electric blues, but to me the most emotively powerful guitar wizard has to be David Gilmore.

@@w.geoffreyspaulding6588i only saw your comment today about Joe’s lack of emotive power. I tend to disagree with you on this. I’m going on 70 now, and in all my years of listening to all genres of music, and relating this to the guitar, I think he’s similar to Eric Clapton in this respect. Eric rarely plays with the emotion that others do, and yet there are certain times when he does - ‘I’ll Take Care of You’ at the Fillmore for instance. * I do feel that Joe’s voice has improved after he got a vocal coach, which was before he performed this concert. * Not being a 🎸ist myself, I was a classical pianist and organist since I was 5, so I’m basing my opinion off my listening/watching many other guitarists perform. For example, Steve Vai is one of those who seems to always be an ‘emotional’ player.

I only found out today that ‘I Can’t Quit You Baby’ is actually a cover of a song done years ago by one of the well known ‘blues’ artists. IMO Joe’s version here is MUCH BETTER! 👏 🎸 🎤!
