The tone of what I think is a jazz guitar, is SO SWEET ❤ IT BABE

Clapton playing this song with Chuck Barry in the movie hail hail rock and roll. Clapton used a very similar guitar in the movie.

You look so fresh faced here 13 yrs is along time in the stage lights and on the road it can drain you and eat you up. Take care of yourself. Love ❤️ & light peace

Arlan Scheirbaum on keys, Ron DeJesus and Joe Bonamassa guitars, Mike Merritt on bass and Tal Bergman on drums.

Cool thing about him: he is a fan of clapton. He plays the sake guitar as clapton did on this song at a concert of Chuck berry

Lizard King I was just planning to watch the Berry/Clapton vid when I stumbled upon this. Finally a white blues player who doesn't just run the scales like a machine. (I'm, myself, a whiter shade of pale)
@vayabroder7293 жыл бұрын
Actually similar but not the same. This one is a three pickup ES-5 while Clapton’s is a two pickup ES-350 as played by Chuck Berry in the early days..😉

Yes, he was using my (former) Jim Kelley. He puts every knob on 7 and the reverb at about 5/6. Always has the mid-boost on.

I wonder if the people in the front row know how fortunate they are? I will just save this video on youtube now and pretend I was there. :)

I know Joe likes to have his Bass and Mids up pretty high probably between 7 and 9 and the treble between 3 and 5.

Brevity is not only the soul of wit but the essence of master playing. Dragging this out for almost 13 mins. is almost painful, compare it to Clapton's neat, tight and much shorter version. Blues aint opera.
@billwanke16812 жыл бұрын
I couldn’t disagree with you more. It was inspiring & I only wish I could’ve been there. There was a 2 minute Keyboard solo & another 2 minute guitar solo that was also fantastic that you disingenuously include in your 13 rundown critique.
@taxfree42 жыл бұрын
@@billwanke1681 Then you haven't heard Claptons version on "Hail Hail Rock and Roll". Its the difference between the Gettysburg Address, and the guy who came on before Lincoln with that long winded epilogue, what's his name.
@billwanke16812 жыл бұрын
@@taxfree4 I most certainly have. Only 9-10x. This is as good if not better. Played in a small venue w a great vibe. And as said another guitar solo besides JB & a keyboard solo not to mention a killer long intro.
