But on the song he's trying to please everyone though, that's the irony 😂😂....first he made Kendrick a villain when he dissed him on 7 minute drill. Then crowned Kendrick during his apology in the process leaving Drake out in the cold. Now when the battle is over he comes back and crowns Drake and suddenly makes us the audience the villains. He got no backbone bra. He just had to keep this verse out the song and apologise to Drake in private

@@interests357yeah completely agree. I don’t understand why so many of the fans are so blind to see what he did was very wrong on so many levels. He has flip flopped like crazy throughout all of this. Prior to the beef I had so much respect for him as an elite MC and a man but that’s all gone now. Spineless behaviour. I genuinely think only the hardcore fans understood the magnitude of what he did because they’ve been rocking with him for years. Most of the people championing his apology are casual or recents fans and didn’t have any expectations or standard for him. Kendrick accused Drake of so many things and picked apart his character and flaws, but I have more respect for Drake cause he stood on his words like a real man. Nobody forced cole to jump in the beef. He’s a grown man and sat on the response to the like that verse for weeks. So it was a conscious decision to release 7 min drill. He was also the one that constantly talked about the big three where clearly the other two didn’t feel the same about it.

Love the song, the sample and the hook/melodic elements of the rapping, however it’s an effort to seem “neutral” after collab’ing with Kendrick affliates, the 7MD apology and his feature run with artists in an active Drake feud. OK here is the thing. I know what he was trying to say, it's not that he's saying he would have won the battle he just meant that he was gonna lose a bro either way. Kendrick and Drake are NEVER making music together again after this, and Cole is just trying to say that he didn't want that to happen. HOWEVER, I think this all could have been avoided if Drake hadn't made it personal and if Cole just didn't drop during that period instead of apologizing. If he didn't drop during the Euphoria/Family matters time and we asked him about it later and he says "It got to personal for me" cool then that would have been done and we could move on.

Cole damn near single handedly created this big 3 conversation. You never hear Drake or Kendrick mentioning it, but Cole repeatedly rapped about it. At the beginning he seemed to be just happy to be mentioned with the other 2 and at some point he wanted to challenge them for the crown. He can rap as well as anyone but he doesn’t have enough crossover hits. His decision making in the last few months didn’t help.

@@Optimism2K question, when Cole dropped 7 minute drill did you think the intention was for real beef or issues to be the result? One of the song’s biggest criticisms was that Cole didn’t do much dissing on the song because none of the shots were personal😂. Also, if that song was such a huge shot at Kendrick and was supposed to be seen as fuel for a real beef between the two, does that make Kendrick weak for not really dropping a response diss even though Cole encouraged him to do it? Genuinely I don’t get how you could look at what actually took place place between Kendrick and Drake and then blame Cole for not wanting to get involved with that once he saw the direction it was going 😂. Also if you do listen to Cole, then you hear all the props and respect he gives to “the big 3” 😂 and you also heard him pretty consistently say he’s not interested in faking beef to sell a product or gain clout. It’s fine to say you’re disappointed that Cole and Kendrick didn’t go back and forth with eachother in competition. To act like Cole instigated a beef and then backed out cause he got checked or something is just the ignorant take mfs are trying to push constantly at this point
