The accusations against Budden in light of his Diddy comments are likely why you'll never get a movement of famous, monied men in the industry to denounce Diddy. Diddy is no anomaly. A lot of men with money & some semblance of power treat women the same way, so a lot of Diddy's male industry colleagues can't say much without being hypocrites. Too many of them have the same skeletons & likely can't denounce Diddy without someone from their past highlighting their skeletons. All the other so-called hip-hop moguls like Jay-Z and Dr. Dre are quiet right now for a reason.

I never expressed any expectation of rappers to denounce Diddy if you actually read my words. I simply stated WHY they wouldn't. You also comprehended the words "famous and monied men". No where did I specifically say "rappers", but whatever you're smoking has you reading words that aren't there.

@@valeo3508 It's understood that men of all socioeconomic levels treat women this way. I'm speaking specifically about why more influential, powerful, widely admired male public figures with platforms (including Diddy's contemporaries) are silent about him. In light of Armon's response, I'm actually responding to the question of why so many famous men with platforms aren't publicly opining about it.

If you watch watch joes show then you know that he has done a lot to change his life. He’s open about therapy and emotions and how men need to heal, etc. Listening to some one talk four times a week for 3 hrs each day, you get to know the true essence of who they are and what they stand for, and Joe is good (overall) and you can tell he’s a different person. Hes far from perfect and it’s hard to get past the reality of how men really speak about women, but his heart is good. He’s already been through all this in the media and hit the bottom, and admitted to his faults and started over! The culture already healed from this toxic relationship and we’ve seen her interact with Joe many times since the incident she’s speaking about. He did his time. How many times should she be able to do this when we all watched her actively participate in this relationship on national television, pursuing him constantly, after the allegations she’s claiming. Free Joe!

To be 1000% honest Tahiry wasn’t the right messenger either. We watched her on national television throw apples Vado’s head and only watched him get the repercussions for his reactions to that( which he was wrong too). Cassie didn’t fight back and I wouldn’t be surprised if she didn’t even start the fights but I refuse to believe a Tahiry or Joe did not fight EACH OTHER! People can change and with age you grow Kaitlyn Garcia, Cyn, nor his current gf has made these allegations. So clearly the man changed. Yet we saw the same behaviors with Tahiry after after Joe Budden!! Sooo 💁🏽‍♂️

Yes women abuse people , but if you check the reported stats 90% of reported abuse is by the hand’s of men. Yes the issue of women who abuse men is a very important topic , and should be heard , but when the topic of violence against women is on the table there’s alway’s somebody/s doing the “what-about-ism”, and usually the person is trying to derail the conversation at hand, by not discussing the sitcom at hand… lastly we live under White male patriarchy, as long as men still support it the biases will never go away, and yes there’s biases as it relates to men abusing then women, if you support anything patriarchal , blame yourself too, patriarchy created it .

⁠I receive that. However the topic at hand cause for different variables to be weighed. Let’s just say the roles were reversed and a woman who had a notorious reputation for striking or abusing men when she got angry with or in a lesbian relationship, would we hold her to the same standard as we hold men today? At which most of them are girls so I’ll never be okay with men hitting women but as a gay man and having friend girls I’ve seen first hand where girls say and do certain things if they catch their men in a lie, cheating etc and she gets physical and he has shown restraint until she hit em hard enough. He’s somebody child too! I’m sure his mama wouldn’t want you hitting on her son just because he hurt your feelings! Break up with him and leave but you don’t have the right to him and think he should retaliate at some point. Everyone should kept their hands to themselves.
